Off Season Move(s) Thread

Everyone keeps mentioning these great prospects. Khus was rated as the 7th best in the organization and he's now gone.

Rossi has busted his butt to get where he is at. And the organization keeps telling him it's not enough. What more does he need to do? Also Rossi isn't the only issue. The treatment of Rossi has a lot of shades with how they handled Fiala and luckily that one turned out okay.

No one thinks we're Buffalo but for a team that is told next year, next year we keep getting blue balled. More so the way most of you talk you'd think we were Colorado or Dallas or Florida.
I love how Guerin gets “lucky” with Fiala. He just threw a blind dart at Faber.

Spare me with the Rossi works hard stuff. This is the NHL. They all work hard.

The main difference between now and the Granlund era is that instead of adding these guys to a core of Koivu, Parise & Suter, you are adding them to a core of Kaprizov, Boldy, JEE, Faber. That latter group is notably better and also younger.

Put him over Chisholm and Lambos.

Brodin Faber

Buium - Middleton

Spurgeon - Bogosian

Jiricek/Spacek
So... basically... he's still not making the team.

And someone was wondering why Lambos was brought up instead of Spacek. This might be why:

0 goals in 27 games for Jiříček is not what I expected. Maybe, just maybe Billy got fleeced on that deal too.
I'm not really sure where you're looking but he has 2 goals in 31 games?

EDIT: Never mind. Figured it out. If you go into the player you can see season stats per team. He had 2 goals with his previous team.

Sorry, but adding some middle six and middle pairing players to this roster via free agency and prospects doesn't get us from where we are to a Cup.

Agreed, would take a Rantenen/Eichel level addition.

Marner via FA or Larkin via trade. No one saw the Rantenen trade coming, there always a possibility something else shakes loose. Konecny, Pettersson, Tage….

Except that isn't the quote: Bruins Promising Forward Wants To Stay Put

"Perfect, perfect, perfect," Khusnutdinov said. "So happy, yeah [if he gets an extension]. One more time, it's the perfect organization... It's good hockey. Good trainers, players, coaches, everything."

He wasn't also in a top 6 role. He was in a top 9 role.
Oh wow, I thought you were being serious. That comment is a total nothing burger lol

His 5v5 TOI/GP since March 7th is 6th on the Bruins for forwards.

I think they're viewing it as a zero-sum game, like the game itself. Where there is a winner and a loser. That's not the case though.

Both orgs CAN have good trainers, players, coaches, "everything". -- Sure Boston has some good players but overall, they're on ice product is/was worse than ours so you can't really put that much stock into the quote. Especially since no player, or VERY few, would come out and say the org that they play for sucks.

It's been "we have a bright future, our time is coming" for the better part of 15 years.
Up until this year, Guerin was trying to rebuild through the draft. It just happened to come at a time where a 5th round gem carried the franchise to the playoffs over several seasons.

All of his draft picks are Rossi’s age or younger (23). I do think we have a legitimate future coming with the players we have. Iowa is not a good indicator of our prospects. Most of the legitimate ones either skip it altogether or are there for a very short period of time.

The previous rebuild attempt was cut short, but imagine if we hadn’t signed Parise/Suter or traded for Pominville. We would have bottomed out in the 2013-2016 drafts.

Exactly! It would be a problem if he did come out and say something negative. Agree with everything you said.

I like the part where Talbot was included as a sign of disfunction in MN, you know, the guy whose agent made a big stink because he wanted a multi year extension here.

I don’t remember Ian Cole complaining much but being an alleged pedo makes me glad if he didn’t feel welcomed. 7th D too so those dudes are almost always complaining.

And then 3 late pick college players that saw the depth chart and decided they weren’t good enough to earn their spot. Gee, what a crew of detractors, I’m sure no other org in the history of mankind has faced such scathing criticism from former employees.

If I was right about Spacek all along and some other team gets to be the one that enables it…. I’m gonna be pissed.
Spacek and Rossi being moved as a package and kicking arse with their new team would be just another day for us. And I would welcome it for the egg that would end up all over our GM's face.
