Tabby seemed like a good guy, but I really didn’t enjoy him in the booth at all.

Give me Dan and Buck/Joe all season please!

Best of luck to him in retirement though. The club should probably have a ceremony for him at some point this season.

Could be tied to Dan being back full time
I didn't mind a three-man booth between Buck and Tabby, and Tabby did an admirable job while Buck was going through his cancer treatments. If I was expected one to leave, I would have guessed Buck, who there were whispers of was contemplating retirement.

At least the broadcast booth is in great hands with Dan, who is the best of the best. Along with a stud waiting in the wings in Siddall who will seamlessly slide in when the time comes.

Yea, didn’t enjoy him in the booth either. But still kinda sad because he has been in the booth for as long as I can remember being a Jays/baseball fan. I am still going to miss him because has been one voice that I really associate with Blue Jays baseball.

Solid deal for the Brewers. Buy low on both Winker and Toro. I would have taken this deal for Biggio. Toro is a switch hitting Canadian who can play 2B and 3B with 4 more years of control. Winker sucks on defense but that is a 123 OPS+ bat (Teo is 121) who came off close to a 3 WAR season in 2021.

I like it a lot more for Seattle. Wong is a really good player and Winker and Toro were beyond useless for them last year. They gave up basically nothing to plug a good starting 2B onto a very good team.

Winter meetings start up on Sunday, so maybe/hopefully we see a flurry of activity come out of there.

I agree good deal today looking at what they gave up. I just factor in what they had to give up to get in Winker to just toss him aside less than a year later;

And the PTBNL was Connor Phillips with a value of $4M.

That is a total of 26.6 for Winker and Suarez only to give Winker away a year ago. Doesnt help that they traded Graveman and Montero for Toro.

Seattle makes some good trades but they are notorious for trading or releasing guys with control who breakout with other teams;
-Edwin Diaz
-Chris Taylor
-Rafael Montero
-Kendall Graveman
-JT Chargois and Matt Wisler
-Nestor Cortes
-Tyler Anderson
-Jose Siri
-Anthony Bass
-Tyler Matzek
-Andrew Kittredge
-Ketel Marte
-Ryan Yarbrough
-Tyler O'Neill
-Freddy Peralta

All guys here were traded under Dipoto. If you want a good reliever, starter or utility player, trade with Seattle - Toro might fit the bill. Hoping this continues with Swanson.

I've no doubt the Jays will spend big money, I'm just curious where it will go position wise.

Smart money says outfielder since in theory, you could reasonably say the rotation doesn't need much help if you're counting on a Berrios bounceback.

First big name off the board;

That's a lot of scratch predictably so, but still god damn. DeGrom goes, i fully expect the Mets to retaliate by signing one of Rodon or Verlander.

Crazy amount of money for a guy who pitches about 75 innings a season (the last 3 years).

Maybe this helps Texas attract other players, but I don’t think it’s a good use of resources. Would have been better served getting two of the second tier starters.
