Dean Chynoweth seemed pretty happy with the Fleury-Miller combination in his interview. Now that Stan is back skating with the team, I wonder if there is any pressure on them to take it up a notch, because there is legit competition now with a d-man coming back.

You can tell that Fleury's experience with the coach is paying dividends early on.

I also like the way he describes the PK as a momentum changer, as a mindset.

Also how you earn your minutes on this d-corps.

Fleury-Miller is doing well so far. No goals against. Shot metrics are very good. They've been dominant in their role as a 3rd pair.

Fleury's been good but I think it's gonna be big Stan on the third pair as soon as he's ready
I don't see how you can take Fleury out when the team is 5 for 5 on the PK so far, looking good, and that pairing isn't getting scored on. I try to take things away from people who are actually around the team, practice with them, know them personallly, and it seems like Chynoweth has time for Fleury. Maybe it comes down to Stanley and Miller because those are the two slowest d-men in the lineup. And there was something about how much offense the defense produced in that Minnesota game, that's worth a listen.

That would be wild if they pull Fleury for Stan - a guy who was too slow for the nhl before his knee injury... he will have far less mobility now.

So Fleury stays in the press box for Stanley. Barf.
I'll give Stanley one more game to see if he can get up to speed (relatively speaking lol) before getting the pitchforks out

He looked decent for a lot of last season in a sheltered role before being exposed vs the Avs
