If you guys think a rail or camera is bad, imagine going to a game at brand-new Yankee Stadium which was made exclusively for hosting baseball games, and sitting here:

Pretty sure the ACC/Leafs arena has a few spots like this, at least they used to thats for sure...to lazy to search for pics.

They do have some but very few, not sure how much cuts off but pretty sure you can still see both nets. Initial design was for basketball.

Last row can't see the whole scoreboard either.

They put tv's on the concrete wall, and those seats are extra cheap. IMO, they should just get rid of those all together, and put something else in those spots.

Wow! I have sat everwhere in the... Palladium, Corel Centre, Scotia Bank Centre, Canadian Tire Centre... (Same arena for newer fans)... And there are no obstructed seats. Even Cameras are almost all out of really obstructing you.

I pay $21 a game each sat for a pair of season tickets this year. About half way up the top level in the end where the Sens shoot twice. They are cheap seats but not bad seats at all. I don't think there is a bad seat in the house. Standing room, top row seats. Anywhere... Not a bad seat.

I am cheap, and not that rich these days, I want the arena atmosphere and I realize that Ottawa has the opportunity for some reasonably priced tickets... But these seats obstructed I would expect to pay $10 for. To even a playoff game. Just to be at the game. How can you legitimately sell these tickets? You could build a small kiosk and sell beer and popcorn there instead of expecting a fan to sit and see only 90-70% of a game. Or like I said... Sell them for $10.

meh, obstructed seats are only bad if people who buy them are not informed of it. If they decide to purchase tickets anyway, deal with it. It's not like NHL teams care about single fans.

I only pay $25 a game in Calgary and I get a free hot dog, pop and popcorn for every game too.

Still pissed that they tried to stick us in the obscured seats without telling us though. Dicks. F*** you Flames for those shenanigans. I'd rather watch it on TV then sit behind a camera man.

Jets charge 25 bucks just to look at the building from the outside.

On season tickets. For the cheap games you can get single tickets for maybe $27/28 this year including service charges. These are the home end. Top half of the top level. Still likely 1500 seats at that price level.

I've been in a ton of baseball stadiums, football stadiums, arenas, amphitheaters, and many times just a stage in a park for sports, concerts, and what have you, and I have never once had an obstructed view seat. At worst I'll get a railing I have to duck to see through every few minutes, but nothing that cuts off my views like what I've seen here. I'm amazed you can find these things on any venue built in the last 50 years.

I cannot believe there are still obstructed seats in buildings that were built in the last 20 years. Some engineers make me cringe.
