That goal where the fan threw the puck was late in the 92-93 season. I try to forget that year.

I remember going to a game vs. Toronto at the Garden after I got out of college I think it was early 2003 when John Tripp and Jaime Lundmark were in the lineup. Nedved scored a hatty. I wasn't a Nedved fan so my friend just kept laughing at me the entire night.

But those memories stink so onto happier ones;

I went to quite a few games in 06-07 even on the road. I was at the Boston game late in the season where they were losing 1-0 during a matinee and then with a minute left Thomas Pock scored on one heck of an ugly slapper. They won in the SO.

I was at the infamous Hollweg/Simon game. To this day that is the most intense game I have ever seen in person. Mara scored a beauty on the PP earlier in the game.

My favorite game post 04-05 lockout was game 3 vs. Atlanta in the 2007 playoffs. They smacked them 7-0 and Cally got his first two playoff goals.

Hockeybased in NYC-Was that Turcotte goal on the road vs. the Blues? If so, I think I remember that game.

Also the first ever Rangers-Sharks game. I believe Leetch scored in OT.

Going back to 89-90 when the Rangers and Devils were playing late in the season for control of the Division. I remember Miro Horova scoring and tying it up. That game ended in a tie.

How about the Marek Malik shootout goal.

That's the definition of not obscure. They still show that goal from time to time.

BTW, here's an obscure game that I'm surprised is as obscure as it was. It was a game I went to that the Rangers lost, but it was still one of the best games I've been to. The Rangers were losing 5-0 in the 3rd against Ottawa a few years ago and came back to make it 5-4, but the Sens scored an empty netter to win.

So from the first season I started watching the Rangers, 00-01, I still remember a few random goals or games despite that being a forgettable season that saw us have the worst defense in the league (or 2nd worst after Atlanta).

I remember a goal by none other than Sandy McCarthy. I want to say it was a 4-2 win and I want to say it was against Chicago. We were winning 3-1 at the time and McCarthy our goon at the time came out of the penalty box and got a breakaway. He put on a SWEET move on the goalie and roofed it.

Also remember a game against the Dominator when we won 5-2 and scored a goal late goal where I want to say Nedved and Hlavac went on a 2 on 0 and one passed to the other and then got it back for the 5th goal.

Also remember a 2 on 1 goal, I think against TB with York and Fleury. York faked a slapped and passed it to Fleury who one timed it into the net.

One of those seasons - it was probably 00-01, without looking - McCarthy was great for us, and potted 10+ goals.

One game that I remember off the top of my head was the last, or second-to-last game of the 1999-2000 season. We played Tampa, and I believe it was Khabibulin's first game with the Lightning (after holding out after getting traded from PHO? I'm going off of memory here, so I could be wrong). We won 2-1, and Malhotra scored one of the goals.

Now, to fact check myself and see if I'm going senile!

EDIT: I was wrong, it was the 2000-01 season...and we won 4-3 in OT, not 2-1. But Malhotra did score, and it was Khabibulin's first game as a Lightning!

I remember the Rangers blowing a 4 goal lead to Washington back in 08-09. There was a problem with my TV and I had to listen to it on the radio  man what an awful game

I read this and my memory took over. I remember the Rangers blowing a 4-0 lead to the capitals in the 3rd period back in the 80's. I hated Mike Gartner until of course he came to the Rangers and was good.

I have so many of these.

Ron Harris beating the **** out of Gary Dornhoefer in 1975 after he ran into Giacomin.

Bob Nevin's goal in OT to win the series against the Maple Leafs in 1971.

The Tkaczuk line coming down on a 3-0 breakaway and scoring on Jacques Plante.

Eddie Giacomin trying over and over to be the first NHL goalie to score.

Bert Wilson breaking Ted Harris' nose and Harris taking revenge by bleeding on him.

Rousseau! Rousseau! Rousseau!

Rod Gilbert's 30th goal of the season after he had 29 three times and was cheated out of number 30 by a bad call.

The year goal differential was a tiebreaker for a playoff spot and the Rangers scored 9 goals in their last game of the season including 5 by Dave Balon and Montreal giving up 5 empty net goals trying to catch up,

Bobby Sheehan playing in the minors year after year and coming up for the playoffs each year and running wild only to be sent down again for the next season.

Orland Kurtenback beating up Derek Sanderson.

I remember Nick Kypreos getting knocked out and started bleeding as he laid on the ice. I was real young and it was either the first or second game ever at the Garden.

I forgot the year, but in a game vs Tampa, Nedved (I think it was him) scored a hat trick and the Lightning gave away towels before the game. Place was 50/50 with fans. The ice was littered.

Leetch had a beautiful end to end rush against Philly where he came out right in front of Richter. I wanna say '92-'93 season but coulda been mid 90's.

I saw Boogaard score his goal against Oattawa (I think) in preseason, and then also in the game vs Washington. was pretty awesome for me.

Not the Rangers, but I remember about 10 years ago when Daniel Brier was with the Coyotes, he went coast to coast to score in the playoffs. The announcer practically went crazy. They were saying how rare that was an you don't see that. I think since the lockout we've seen that much more often. Those days there was really no exciting hockey being played it seems.

Dom "fuhgeddabootit" Moore's SHG on a breakaway when he was on the lightning, roofed it backhand and beat Hank clean.

Montreal coming back from 0-5 to win 6-5 in a SO.

Not obscure and it's shown but it was thrilling; Stepan's first game and first hatty in Buffalo. I was 2 rows down from Derek's mom and sister.

Another really fun goal was when we still had Rozsival and he let it go on a slapper and scored. I was floored.

Gimmie some time to look 'em up, some games have brought tears to my eyes because of the goals we've seen by our team.

The Nedved hat trick against Tampa was in 2000-01 I believe. I remember because I was back home from school that weekend and would watch every Ranger game when I came back as this was before the days of Center Ice or Internet streams. I was stuck with DC announcers in school so anytime the Rangers played the Caps or were on ESPN, it was an event for me like an NFL game.

The 91-92 game against the Caps where they were down 6-1 and came back and won was in DC. I remember because of that annoying goal horn the Caps had and how rowdy their fans in Landover were.

The 7-0 Atlanta game, Nylander had a hat trick.

Mike Keane's penalty shot goal against Tampa in '97.

Hard to explain why, but this goal was part of a bigger story and a bit of a running joke for years.

Gretzky got the winner in a 4-3 victory. I miss The Great One.

Not sure why, but a Joel Bouchard GWG from the '02-'03 season is forever stowed in my mind.

Surprised it wasn't mentioned (don't think it was)

How about Avery scoring on the thrashers in the playoffs from center ice? (With the assist going to the boards )

Chris Drury in '11, first shift in months and scores this goal in a must win game which clinched a playoff spot for us.

I don't know what game it was, who exactly the players were, or who the opponent was. But I remember the Rangers scoring on a 3-on-0 breakway sometime in the awful '92-'93 season.

Rangers at Canucks, Oct. 97. It was the first time the Rangers faced Messier since he signed with Vancouver that summer. He scored a goal but Gretzky one-upped him with the hat trick and the Rangers won 6-3.
