So from the first season I started watching the Rangers, 00-01, I still remember a few random goals or games despite that being a forgettable season that saw us have the worst defense in the league (or 2nd worst after Atlanta).

I remember a goal by none other than Sandy McCarthy. I want to say it was a 4-2 win and I want to say it was against Chicago. We were winning 3-1 at the time and McCarthy our goon at the time came out of the penalty box and got a breakaway. He put on a SWEET move on the goalie and roofed it.

Also remember a game against the Dominator when we won 5-2 and scored a goal late goal where I want to say Nedved and Hlavac went on a 2 on 0 and one passed to the other and then got it back for the 5th goal.

Also remember a 2 on 1 goal, I think against TB with York and Fleury. York faked a slapped and passed it to Fleury who one timed it into the net.

I remember the Rangers blowing a 4 goal lead to Washington back in 08-09. There was a problem with my TV and I had to listen to it on the radio  man what an awful game

Yeah the Caps were injured and Ovy had a hat trick. That was a season after they blew a 5 goal lead to the Habs. However, that was relatively recent and considering how rarely that happens IMO not that obscure.

Game in the 91/92 season against the Caps and the Rangers were down 6-1/2 and came back to win 8-6.

That was the December 22nd or 23rd game that Drury claimed wouldn't ruin his Christmas, right? me and you lived the same nightmare if so because I was forced to listen to that on the radio too

Okay. I think it was against Minnesota, and it was the one game Alex Frolov's wraparound actually went in, and me and my friends erupted cheering and laughing hysterically at the same time.

Stephane Matteau scored late to tie a game in Calgary. First game after all the deadline deals in '94. A sign of the heroics to come. Graves broke the scoring record the following night.

That 91-92 game against the Caps were legendary. Everything was going right that year.

Other goals/games;
-Anyone remember the Kocur phantom goal from 91-92? He really didn't score but somehow they said it went through the net and right through the hole.

-I always bring up Darren Turcotte's game tying goal vs. Vancouver on President's Day 1992.

From 2005-06 of course the Rucinsky OT goal vs. St. Louis (Patrick Lalime) was bizarre.

I also remember the goal Dom Moore scored on Opening Night that season vs. Montreal to tie the game and get it to OT. It had a pool like deflection and went in under Theodore's legs.

Dom Moore also scored a bizarre goal against Luongo that got the game to OT and the Rangers won in the shootout.

I remember a game versus Tampa in 10-11 (or was it late 09-10?) where we scored three goals on our first four shots. Pretty sure Prospal and Christensen scored.

More from 10-11: The Edmonton game where Gabby had a hat trick and Anisimov scored from the side.

The Philly game where Cally scored four and we won 7-0. Philly led the season series 4-0 before that game, but it kicked off an 8 or 9 game winning streak vs the Flyers.

That was my very first game at the garden.

This is what I was going to post. He actually DID shoot the puck right through the netting. Only time I ever remember this being done.

The other memory was when someone through a puck onto the ice, during a shot on goal. I forget what game that was, definitely the early 90's...I think against Pittsburgh maybe?

I was gonna bring this one up myself..... I was at that game bought tix for my Fathers B-day in Sept... Loving life up 4-0..... Then well..... Whomp whomp whommmm

I also remember that comeback against Wash.... crazy

Also from that same year i went to a game with my Dad against Montreal that we won 10-1... That was allot of fun as a 12 yr old kid

Also i dont remember what yr it was but does anybody remember when a fan threw a puck and it went in and they thought the Rangers scored at 1st.... I think thats how it went down

This thread screams Martin Rucinsky's OT winner from 05-06 against St. Louis where the shot hit the glass, came back and hit the goalie in the back, and went in.

EDIT - Didn't see it was mentioned already

Was at the game in the mid 90's when a fan threw a puck into the goal. Everyone thought the Rangers scored. I think the goal light even went on.

Was also at Domi/Probert 2 that didn't go so well for Tie!

One of my favorite Ranger goals of all time was Darren Turcotte cutting across the blueline and gloving it to himself in the air (kind of juggling it twice from one direction to the other, legally) to get around a D-man and then burying it.

Must of been 89-90

Also Kelly Kisio staking around the zone about 3 times before putting it in.

And how can anyone forget the multiple Mike Gartner slappers from the right side. He would fly into the zone with his sweater flapping in the wind behind him like a superman cape, and he would unleash a bomb that would pop out of the net as fast as it went in because the nets were wound tighter in those days... Crazy good stuff.

You reminded me of perhaps the same game I mentioned, or a different one. But it was from that 00-01 season Sam and JD were talking about Amonte in Chicago and showed a goal he scored where he gloved a puck and dropped it before scoring.
