If NYR wanted Hague they would make a different offer or look into free agency. Hague isn't going to make or break this current season right now. Maybe if they pick it up and get to deadline in a decent spot.

This trade seems focused around pushing Zibanejad to the wing. I'm not sure that really solves our issue. Vegas power play is doing pretty good without getting Kreider for their net front piece.

Threatening to waive guys who enact their NMC/NTC so they don’t go to teams they don’t want to play is a great way to obtain future UFAs.
