Value aside, Buffalo will want NHL players, not picks and prospects.

Schneider isn't available, though, so both Buffalo and Vancouver fans can forget about him.
 
If the return is Byram + Chytil for VAN, they are giving up more than just Miller. They should be adding, and the add goes to BUF.

Hoglander+? Or maybe something like this:

To VAN: Byram, Chytil
To NYR: Miller, Hoglander, Forbort
To BUF: Kreider, KAM, Othmann

Eh, that's probably too many pieces... :help:

What the Rangers are giving up in that proposed deal is more than what was reportedly offered straight up for Miller. Instead of Lindgren, they are trading 2 decent (not great, but decent) prospects. I'd much rather trade Lindgren.

This is ridiculous. Byram doesn't have that kind of value, and the Rangers aren't giving up 3 roster players and one of their best prospects for Miller and some garbage.

If Byram had that kind of value, Buffalo would keep him and trade one of their other LD for a RD.

That's barely any better for the Sabres. No need for Othman and K'andre (I'm assuming that's what KAM is supposed to mean), they have the better LW prospect in Rosen as well as the better LHD in Byram so why bother. Kreider is of interest but not at that cost.

Top 6 C or top 4 RHD is what Buffalo needs.

I'm not saying Byram has that kind of value, but Buffalo should absolutely keep him over Power, assuming they can keep Byram on a reasonable long-term deal and sell someone on Power as a potential top pairing guy.

That doesn't do it for buffalo

Sykora is a buried prospect on buffalo behind a bunch of F prospects they have in their system since the 22 draft in Benson, Kulich, Rosen, Istlund,Heleniys, Wahlberg, kozak, and a few others

Mancini is nothing special in a trade like this

You basically have Rangers trading for Byram thrn trading him

Rangers would have to give up Schnrider+ is such deal.

Thid deal is a bit more fair, buffalo does not nerd another LD in miller and I have little interest in Kreider

I'm fine with keeping him and trading Power or Samuelsdon + some forwards for a mid 20s RD and mid 20s 2C

You honestly believe that Byram is worth so much more than K'Andre Miller that the Rangers would have to include Kreider, Chytil and Othmann to make it fair? I don't place any value on Hoglander or Forbort, so don't bother mentioning them. I wouldn't trade any of the listed Ranger players for them.

If you truly believe that, you must be some combination of drunk, stoned, and really bad at evaluating players.
