If we can't get anything better than this for Oleksiak, sure, I don't hate it. I'd be hopeful we get a 1st from a desperate team though. If we bother trading him at all because who f***ing knows with this club.

Winnipeg could use someone like Lindgren for a run. We don't need retention and we probably wouldn't pay a 2nd and a 5th.

Jones is not really a good fit for what Seattle needs in their system. If they start trading off all their assets, Francis really needs to target pieces the organization is lacking.

Value isn't terrible, but the fit just isn't there. No reason for Seattle to make this trade imo.

I don't think Francis is that delusional. I think it is pretty clear that ownership is pushing him to make moves to try to compete now, despite the blatantly obvious flaws in that philosophy.

His proposal is the 2nd & 5th from the 3rd team for Lindgren at 50%, not NYR.

I don't understand this proposal to be honest, NYR give up Zac Jones & Ryan Lindgren for Oleksiak, which is not worth it as Oleksiak is not an upgrade. It's giving up assets to move sideways.

No one should be giving up close to a 1st for Oleksiak, he is nowhere near good enough. Big body but doesn't know how to use it.

Whether we like it or not I think they won’t completely sell and will move kinda sideways
