The Rangers would still be getting the better part of this deal. On paper, the 1st + Koivunen alone is good value. And desperation to save his job is probably the Drury we are going to get this season.

I wouldn’t move that rangers first pick for anything, I want to see it be the 11th overall pick, and they keep it (being top 13 protected). Only to find out next season they miss the playoffs again and win 1st overall. A guy can dream, right?
