Lindgren is a dump, but perspective.
First, 4.5 -> ufa expiring is not that big an albatross overpay is needed.
Nobody does anybody favors, so to extent presumption applies, some payment is needed, but let's get real, nowhere near a 1st
Second, extent to which Lindy is a dump is mitigated by whatev productive value he has.
THAT is based on his health. While that has been somewhat compromised by cumulative wear and tear and he is not a long term guy, he is a contributor to his regular M.O. if/when healthy.
That is, his game is def responsible, clear the crease guy who is sufficiently mobile.
He is still on the mend, but again, at this pt, not useless.
In peak condition, and not THAT long ago, value would be signif higher
But today, he has limited positive value as a depth add, with bids starting at a 5th, likely to go to a 4th. Again, that is what Rs get, not what they have to pay out.
