Filip Chytil to Minnesota for Jack McBain’s rights, Victor Rask, and a 2nd round pick

Sonny Milano or Robby Fabbri for 2nd+?

Kreider-Zibanejad-Lafreniere
Panarin-Strome-Kakko
Milano/Fabbri-Goodrow-Gauthier
Blais*-Rooney-Reaves

In the first deal Minnesota gets a potential top 6 C that in my opinion would fit well with Kaprizov and Zucc if given the opportunity. Zucc assisted on Chytil’s first pro goal. Rangers get a potential bottom 6 C, take on Rask’s hit and get an extra forward in him, and get a 2nd for the difference in value

In Milano or Fabbri, Rangers get a good depth scorer. Milano is from NY as well. In the past secondary scorers have gone for 2nd+. (Buchnevich, Toffoli, Zucc, Arvidsson)

Fabbri is going nowhere
Fair enough but he’s the perfect fit and age for NYR. I don’t really see how he helps Detroit. Anything we can interest you in? Like Zac Jones or Matt Robertson?

He's giving a twelve team list to Guerin and then Guerin will trade him to whichever team gives a 2nd. Seems judd brackett has his eye set on someone because we already have two 2nds

Realistically I very much doubt McBain gets a 2nd. That’s just the starting price. Moving him in a package for an upgrade on C in the same age I think would be best for Minnesota no? And I’m almost positive McBain signs with NYR

I don't think Rangers need Sonny. Put on a 3rd line role, I don't see that same impact with us. That 3rd line looks like total crap with how our Coach would want them to play.

too little, wrong guy, for Chytil,
McBain's rights have a market value around a 4th (despite rumored ask; lots of discussion of this, just today on bird app, see below),
Rask has underplayed himself out of NHL

something like Chytil + Reunanen for 2nd, McBain, Nesterov and Benoit is better for NYR - one of those lottery tickets should turn into something

That deal you proposed is significantly worth less than mine. Minny accepts that in a heartbeat

No, Minnesota wouldn't do this. Minnesota selected him with a 3rd. Why would they accept anything lower? Wild aren't giving up a 2nd round pick and 3 good prospect for a player whose no longer playing on NHL teams and nobody

Your positive? He's from Canada. He's seeking an immediate role and burning of a year. Minnesota is only one who can give him that by trading his right. Fox went for 2nd round pick

I mean, Chytil is more of what we already have. Just another bottom six guy. The value is maybe fine but what's the point? Would rather use our own 2nd.

mcBain wants s promise to play top 4 role right away

yeah, wild were willing to play him. but if you think the wild should promise a college kid who scored 18 goals in his first 3 years that he should play between kirill and zuccy or fiala and boldy or on the greef line instead of ek, you're kidding yourself
— Michael Russo (@RussoHockey) March 8, 2022

All you need to do is copy the URL of the tweet into the post. It does the formatting for you.

Putting a lot of Faith in 2 guys who have yet to play an NHL game and 1 who is coming back from a Severe injury

putting faith in a top line PPG (with detroit)winger, highest scorer under 20 in SHL whos 6 foot 8 and basically a PPG winger in the SHL/AHL? all 3 of these guys are studs, fabbri is expednable.

I would not do the Chytil trade from an NYR standpoint. We need to strengthen our top 6/top 9 and by trading away a player from that position just to trade for another is a lateral move.

McBain is also someone who will bobble between the AHL & NHL so he is not someone I would give up an asset for.

We should target players who wouldnt cost anything more than a 2nd + prospect. Players like Max Domi, Josh Anderson & maybe even a Dylan Strome.

I dont see Wings parting with Fabbri. He has done really well to overcome his injury and put a few respectable and consistent seasons together. Also we dont really need another LW in Milano.

I'd move Fabbri for a 2nd+ but I'm not as high on him as most Wings fans seem to be. He's fairly easily replaced imo

NHL is a whole different ballgame…Fabbri isn’t getting traded for a pick

Very positive. We’re NYR. Everyone wants to sign here. And Fox was miles ahead of McBain as a prospect. Miles. Without hindsight as well. McBain is a potential bottom 6 C

Thanks for being realistic. With the trade market right now everyone’s asking for a 1st for their average pieces. 2nd+ is right inline with secondary scorers
