Kinda. It was beyond obvious that Lindgren could not be resigned. Credit for recognizing it but it wasn’t exactly a ton of insight.Massive Drury W.
Like for real, this may be his best work.
Panarin is now to me what Shesterkin is to you.
I think Kempf is decent and might have gotten a contract simply because we lack depth, but yeah, I'm not losing sleep over his inclusion here. We have Dorington from the JT trade, who is a better prospect.Picks and a worthwhile player for three guys who were gone in the summer (I don't think they'd sign Kempf).
He is indeed slow-ish but that fits right in, frankly.Pärssinen is interesting, he’s got some skil but I don’t think he skates that well and he’s never gotten great results. He should get some time as 3C though.
Very much disliked how Bednar used him in Colorado. He should be a good fit for the #3C role.Pärssinen is interesting, he’s got some skil but I don’t think he skates that well and he’s never gotten great results. He should get some time as 3C though.
Condition as in we get the better of the picks in both roundsPicks are conditional.....and we traded a college kid Kampf?

Whoever said he'd look better than Brodzinski, he won't, because Brodz skates and makes shit happen with his feet. This guy won't, but he's an NHL body and who knows!

And other GMs are dumb and buy reputation. Lindgren has the reputation as a warrior. GM’s foolishly want terrible players with irrelevant reputations, we have done it ourselves too many times.
There would have been riots if he resigned Lindgren. He absolutely could have re-signed him. I am glad that he did not.
He turned 2 depth level players (and thats being kind to RL) and an organizational filler into a youngish center (who may himself be a fringe player but we'll find out) a 2nd and a 4th.
This is a win. Enjoy it.
If they trade Smith he may find himself without much supporting company on the third line, but that’s a problem for next season when we (in theory) actually have a chance to try to win somethingI liked Parsinen in NSH. He can play C, good size, good hands around the net, fairly responsible. Won’t light the world on fire but could look better than Brodzinski or be basically a younger less experienced Vesey type. Solid return.
