Proposal: [NYR/COL] K'Andre Miller for Jack Drury and Samuel Girard

You know how much HfAvs think of Miller when we dont want this trade. HFAvs is the biggest size queen fan base on here lol.

I wouldn’t be opposed to moving Girard and/or Drury, but personally I don’t think Miller would be the right target. I’m not sold that Miller is an upgrade on Girard so adding Drury on top of him doesn’t make a ton of sense.

Girard has looked a lot better since his short stint in the player rehabilitation program. This year he has been consistently one of our most steady players and reliable defenders.

Any interest in moving Schneider?

None.
Rates better than many on our board seeking instant gratification say
Just needs to be paired w/correct LD for optimum chemistry

Only even think about if part of a strategic package to get a special piece

ordinary course of biz, no, prefer to keep, too difficult to replace

Girard is easily one of the most overrated d-man ever on hfboards

people who didnt understand analytics overvalued him when they were in the covid divisions which wasnt real hockey

and he came crashing to reality the next season

He might have been at that time, but I think he’s arguably underrated now. He is what he is, a solid second pair defenseman who can move the puck on a reasonable contract who fits the team well.

Miller is a good defenseman having a down year who feels like the type of guy who might break out on the right team but also might struggle on the wrong one. Not sure why the Avs would move a guy who does fit the team and does well in his role for him. With their first pairing as good as it is they just need stability behind it.

Girard is easily one of the most perfectly rated d-men ever on HFBoards.

People who didn’t understand analytics undervalued him when COVID was over, which was actually real hockey (just with a twist of dystopian chaos).

Then went through substance abuse and he bounced back to being the same solid, reliable defenseman the next season – because reality couldn’t handle his smooth skating and elite flow.

I prefer the cost certainty and quantity here. So I'd rather keep Girard and Drury, who are under term for next year (Girard 2 years after this one) vs Miller who is looking for something that is probably equal to what Girard and Drury make.

Yeah, he's good...

Good & Terrible.
