I don't think the Rangers have what it takes to land Power. Buffalo isn't looking for young kids/prospects/picks to re-re-rebuild.

If Fox wanted out......something around Power for Fox would make a ton of sense for both sides. But I can't imagine Fox asking out just yet.

Laf just re-signed......but Buffalo has young wingers coming out their ears.

If Power is being moved, it's for a younger established center (think EP40) or for a younger established RHD who can actually play defense.

but if we were going for power and sabes were putting him up
it would be

No, Power hasn’t had the impact he will yet, but it’s coming. You just don’t trade those type of young Dmen.

What a Top 10 for Dmen the 2021 draft was btw. Would he still be the 1st taken of the 4 though? Probably not, but talk to us in 3 years, and maybe opinions flip back to Power. A year ago it was Hughes, now its probably Edvinsson, who looks more like Hedman every game, but most of us would’ve taken Power on draft night. I would’ve. Just like most teams would’ve. I’ve only ever heard Edmonton, Anaheim, Tampa and Detroit had him NOT ranked #1 Dman in that draft. He has all the tools.

Teams who trade young Dmen like Power, always lose that trade.

if rainbows were pennies we could gather all the rainbow pennies and make nickels from mythical dimes and purchase pool floaties to use then exchange for quarters to do.......stuff with? I think I'm following you but correct me if I'm wrong...?

I'm not following you!
I famously say usually peeps want simple solutions to complicated probs
usually that does not work.'
Correct approach is complicated solution that actually works to complicated problem and then smooth edges, etc

This is a bit more straightfoward here.

IF sabes wanna see what Power gets (which everybody should do w/everybody),
then it wants a certain amount of both value and currency (like in any deal).

The Rs props here are not all choped liver as maligned, but they are not meeting the parameters in the above sentence.

What I said was, IF Rs had yes still gotten Borgen [a smart move] but used other currency, that would mean Kakko would now be available.
Now whether or not something around
Kakko and a presum slightly larger moderate +
for
Power and presum a slightly smaller =
would then be a discussion

but the ? is moot (or moo, as Joey Trebiani might say)
b'c KK in fact HAS been dealt

that means we need to look at what is there
there are pieces that arguably = enuf value but they are not a good fit for either team or both

The poster means you are dealing in fantasyland because KK is no longer on rangers
