Source also said Blue Jackets have been in contact with the Detroit Red Wings regarding Gustav Nyquist. CBJ are VERY interested in Nyquist. Jackets would have to give up AT LEAST a Top 4 Def. to acquire him.

Sooo Werenski for Nyquist :yo:

We tension looked like an absolute stud in his limited AHL. I get CBJ could use an offensive boost but Werenski should stay in Columbus

That's the same account that said Shattenkirk would be traded for Pastrnak and Krejci, I don't know why you would rely on them at all.

Besides, Columbus would never do that.

Lol this website is beyond brutal, rumour mangers with no substantial sources or anything. They've never called anything. It's kinda like ***************

Why in god's name would Columbus want to add Nyqvist? You would think the last thing they need is another $4mil+ player on a long contract. Or is that Columbus's thing now? Collect all the mediocre players with huge contracts?

You know you can express that you're against it without jumping right to crapping all over the player, right?

I'd offer an equally dubious trade the other way but frankly Detroit doesn't own the rights to anyone on Werenski's level.

It's basically like offering Jack Johnson for Dylan Larkin lol, which would be absurd.

I posted this months ago, but I do think that if Hartnell can be moved for a bottom pairing defenseman (Despres?), the Jackets should go for Nyquist. I think Jack Johnson + a 3rd or 4th (or a B level prospect) would be a fine return for Nyquist.

I know this is all speculative, but these lines don't look bad at all. The center depth, of course, is lacking (until Dubois is ready), but the wings are stacked on both sides

Jenner-Dubinsky-Atkinson
Saad-Wennberg-Nyquist
Foligno-Karlsson-Bjorkstrand
Calvert-Gagne-Anderson/Campbell

Murray-Jones
Werenski-Savard
Despres-Prout/Goloubef/Kukan

Nyquist looked great together with Wennberg in the WC:s.

Guess Columbus' brass noticed that too.

The Werenski thing was obviously a joke.. But your offer is obviously not a joke, but wow man that offer is brutal. Jack johnson has jack **** value and those picks add absolutely nothing, sure Nyquist might not have that much of a value but he's worth more than jack johnson and a few pity picks plus a all time ahl'er.

Stop making stupid Larkin offers people, the werenski one was a obvious joke.

Not interested in any deal revolving around Nyquist for Johnson. Johnson is a shell of his former self and serves no purpose for Detroit. Obviously Werenski and Savard are unavailable so i doubt Columbus would have what we would want for Nyquist.
