Few players are worth that much to a rebuilding team. Those that are, are probably untouchable to their respective clubs. The only name that comes to mind is Panarin... but that doesn't make much sense either.

Maybe you're right. Best Leaf player in the victory in Boston....Nylander.

Don't understand these trades...The Leaf next year or two have cap room to trade acquire players without giving up prime assets.

Trying to come up with a trade idea that unites the Nylander brothers in Buffalo, failing, because it will be a cold day in hell before we trade Toronto Risto.

Um....

To Buf
Nylander
Lupul

to Tor
Bogosian
Girgenson(?)

....and yeah. I don't know how to balance that trade. Buffalo isn't throwing there first, Toronto isn't going to accept that deal if the sweeteners are a couple of 2nds. Yeah.

Buffalo 1st this year and next are probably required to even get the conversation going.

Last time I checked Nylander was playing with Martin and smith. Only gets points on the powerplay. He does not have much value.

a 20 year old kid that will likely be a 50-60 pt rookie, possibly a calder finalist, doesnt have much value. SMH :shakehead

by the way Nylander was on the top line again. guess he has value again?

Nylander is the most cerebral of all our rookies. He is very proficient and knows where to be on the ice or where to put the puck to make the play. The guy is in his rookie year and is looking like he is going to be a first liner already. I can't imagine TO making a trade for him at all and besides, we will groom him the way we want under competent coaching/management.

Sounds like Nylander, Reinhart, and Grigorenko should start a Mensa chapter in the NHL.
