Sometimes you even lose and it doesn't have anything to do with talent or work ethic.

You can lose games and series by making poor decisions in areas of the ice or at certain times of a game that you can't get away with against good teams.

There was a scouting report posted on Easton Cowan over the weekend where they talked to someone in the Knights front office. They basically said the biggest thing they're trying to improve in his game is becoming more aware of what he can and can't do in certain situations and learning to become better at taking the low risk smart play than forcing something. I think we still unfortunately have alot of that in our playstyle where we try extremely high risk stuff at certain times of the game, in dangerous spots.
"Sometimes" certainly, but that's not the norm.

You can occasionally lose games by poor decisions, but if you do it regularly it's a sign of a lack of talent, either mentally on the part of the player, or on the coaching staff.

Cowan is a perfect example: does he have the talent to learn his limitations?

One of the rare nights where Tavares is actually doing something and they’re still losing.

After how he played in the playoffs last year, this season has been a disappointment for him.
Keefe is very much not putting him in a position to succeed. It's clear he's not ready for the position Keefe has put him in. So far, he's looked much better down the lineup.

Did Bertuzzi forget how to score goals the minute he signed with us or what
No, we have a coach who has repeatedly shown he has NO IDEA how to work with a player like this. Which is probably why our ex-GM never really experimented with it.

Also, having two of our slowest forwards on the same line is really, really idiotic and has been for most of the season.

As someone who can’t stand the Islanders, the Leafs are the biggest losers ever. What are you guys gonna lose to them every game, it’s pathetic now.
