They went to the conference final last year and quite a few people picked them to win the division. They all look like clowns now, but that was the perception pre seasonI don’t think he was cup chasing with the Isles, more just sentimental “going home”
Islanders playing like they’re sending a message about a potential playoff matchup.
Yep. The stuff that Svech gets called for compared to the stuff that guys like Chara and Marchand DON'T get called for is ridiculous. The inconsistency and favoritism that league officials show just doesn't surprise me anymore, I can't let it.He pulls shit like that because he knows he can get away with it.
Meanwhile, Svech gets penalties for skating through the goal crease.
NHL refs are as consistent as hangover shits.
He got away with three of them to be precise. He get away with the punch?
It's in @MrazeksVengeance 's comadefense needs to wake up
Worth a shot as long as they get a new D 3rd pair plus a goal scoring winger. The more I think about it, the more I want us to take a chance on moving Necas to center next year like we did with Aho. Most seem to disagree but I think he’s a better fit down the middle than on the wing. Center depth would be Aho - Necas - Kotkaniemi - Staal. There would absolutely be a learning curve and some early struggles but I think it’s best for Necas and the team in the long run.
*assuming we keep him
Pesce doesn’t shoot it very hard, but he makes up for that with his lack of accuracy.Pesce had a wide open net, and just.... f***ed it
