This was Capuano's version of the NFL's defense where 350lb pass rushers are dropped back into coverage to confuse the offense.

He's such an innovative coach that doesn't earn enough credit. Next week he is going to do something even more amazing, like pack all five skaters into the goal like clowns in a volkswagon beetle so that there's no room for a puck to enter it.
