The Isles are not playing that well lately. The problem is that they´ve played vs EDM, BUF, TOR at home, all in a row. All 1-goal games. Edmonton was outplaying them pretty significantly too. Anyway, their schedule is still pretty easy down the road so they might be the favorites to win the Metro.

Halak slid out to try and poke check and slid across the entire zone, and he couldn't get up right away, so they made the formation you see.

Leafs shot and hit a player and couldn't score on the empty net.

Halak raced to get to a breakaway pass before the forward came in alone. He got to the puck first but couldn't control it, so his teammates covered until he could get back.

Halak is not your stay at home goaltender. He's been a rock for us the entire season and has only had a few sub-par games but he sure knows how to make your heart skip a beat.

Sometimes he plays the puck behind the net and skates back to his crease casually while our opponents are forechecking hard.

I think they've looked mediocre at best since Okposo got hurt. Glad they waited to this soft spot in the schedule to slump but they need to pull out of it soon.

It's funny how a team that's top 5 in offense takes such a hit when one offensive player goes down.... but if you look at how the Isles are built, it's really just Tavares, Okposo and an excellent amount of depth scoring. Going forward, this is something that Garth should really look to rectify.

Okposo goes down, a couple of their depth players slump offensively and boom.... the Islanders start looking average.

Us Islanders fans have heart attacks every time Halak leaves the crease. Him leaving the crease has led to too many goals against. At least Toronto didn't score from it.

Only if we were to implement it on the PK. We might have a better PK and it might lead to some more wins. Anything is better than Cronin's system.
