Hamonic is the most valuable piece in this deal so I can't see NYI accepting. Although even though the value favors Toronto IMO, I don't like it from TO's perspective because Zaitsev is really panning out and seems to be getting better out there every game. I'd like to keep him around. I'm a big Kadri fan as well; they don't have anyone else on the team with a complete game and d-bag factor that he brings

Kadri gave up going to free agency where he would have got more money. He's a player that sacrificed to remain a Leaf. Zaitsev choose the Leafs over 29 other teams. Another player who wants to be a Leaf.

Why would the Leafs move out two guys that want to be Leafs?

At the same time, Islanders should be happy keeping what they Nelson & Hamonic.

so Toronto deals a guy they just signed long term as well as an international player they just brought over seas.. both playing really well too.. great for player-team relations. This deal doesn't make much sense.

Let's not forget exempt from expansion. No way we trade that.

As I repeat in every Hamonic proposal this year, if Snow didn't move him for Taylor Hall, he's probably not going to move him for Nazem Kadri.

No interest. Trading for Hamonic does nothing for us if we move Zaitsev at the same time. We'd still need another top 4 defenseman.
