I don't see why either team does this? The roles each of the acquired players play will be the same. Hamonic replaces Zaitsev and vice versa. Nelson replaces Kadri and vice-versa...

It's not like most or any of these guys need a "change of scenery" like Holland either.

There is absolutely zero chance that Kadri gets moved with Babcock coaching the team. He's loved the kid from day 1.

As I repeat in every Hamonic proposal this year, if Snow didn't move him for Taylor Hall, he's probably not going to move him for Nazem Kadri.

Ridiculous proposition. Makes no sense for either team. Also very underestimated value for Zaitsev, hasn't got to show his full potential yet or fully adapt to the North American ice. Zaitsev is going to be very very good.

where is the under value of zaitsev in this? leafs get direct better replacement in Hamonic... if you want to say an over value of Brock Nelson, id listen that is debatable but how is Zaitsev under valued in this proposal

This seems rather pointless, neither team is adding anything, just swapping players who would have similar roles where Hamonic > Zaitsev, Kadri > Nelson

No thanks from the Leafs. Zaitsev is already a #3 and its only been 20 games. Wait for him to get adjusted

Kadri is playing out of his mind and has become a leader and hes on a great contract. Not interested in losing him

There's rumours that Snow said not to Hall for Hamonic because Hamonic had rescinded his trade request, seems tough to believe that he would say no when they have Pulock almost ready, Hamonic would be much closer to home/family (South of Winnipeg, which was the reason for the trade request) and NYI would get an elite winger to pair with their elite centre who's still only 25 - tough one to buy

so Toronto deals a guy they just signed long term as well as an international player they just brought over seas.. both playing really well too.. great for player-team relations. This deal doesn't make much sense.

Wow its almost like Garth Snow is terrible at his job and deserves to be canned as General Manager

Ha, no doubt. It still seems far fetched though, seems to even meet the criteria for Hamonic's requested trade, so you'd think that if it was a question of loyalty that Hamonic would put the request/approval on the table

Factoring in age and upside, I would think Larsson had more value to the Oilers either way.
