Confirmed Trade: [NYI/STL] Scott Perunovich for 2026 cond. 5th round pick

I'd be shocked if he doesn't play enough games (20 right?) to fulfill the conditions for sending the 5th to St Louis.

even though it wasnt looking like he was gonna get the shot in st louis, i truly feel this is going to look really awful in the future
Still early obviously but aside from his passing and vision he hasn’t done anything else to really stand out. I keep saying the best thing so far is that he also hasn’t done anything to stand out in a negative way either.

He was playing great hockey for us earlier this year. Coaches obviously never believed in him and benched him anyway. He has one fatal flaw which is the lack of power in his stride, but he’s a very smart and skilled player. I hope he makes it. Was a great college player and was plagued with injuries early in his NHL career.

Spot on and it’s evident when watching him. Hopefully his skill and hockey IQ is enough to make up for his size and skating deficiencies

It’s ok. The Islanders will reciprocate by sending Scott Mayfield back to help the St Louis blueline.

He's small and is dummied easily by almost any forward.

But wait there's more, he's a terrible skater!

He's also an offensive dynamo, finally scored a goal in what, game 79?

Perfect player to express how Armstrong has literally no idea how to build a defense. He inherited Petro.

No, no break. lol give me a break right back at you

He inherited Petro and his vision for the defense post Petro has been very bad.

It's way easier to build if you already had the support beam there.

Darn shame he drafted a Hobey Baker winner with a 2nd round pick and then decided to make sure he lost a lot of development with injuries.

Should’ve known it would’ve never worked when the rave around that time was small puck movers breaking into the game and creating a lot of offense.

Never wants to zig when everyone zags dammit.

yes ... he should have known the Krug Era was a dumb era ... who ever bought into that? did you buy into that? draft someone one day who will be a one way player you have to shelter and pay a lot if all the development works out? it was always like wtf are you doing Doug ... the whole time ...
