This is a regressive move. The money is good but he is not what we need on the right of JT. Now we get to see Tavares spend half his shift collecting pucks in the right corner and getting pounded in the process. That sucks.

This may also mean we are not spending the bare minimum in salary, which would be a hell of a comment by new ownership about their commitment to the club's future.
