Hahaha, Dal Colle has still yet to match Josh's NHL points total while playing twice as many games, you are a funny guy

Points are not everything, especially in Trotz’ system. You should know this.

Because there were longass threads on the Sabres board about how great it was that Tavares got injured because that would give Buffalo a higher draft pick, iirc.

Pretty sure you don’t recall correctly- I frequent the Sabres board, I don’t recall that occurring.

It did, but it seems like you wasn’t a member back in 2014/2015.

Holy hell, so y’all are still salty about dumb shit a few internet assholes supposedly said 6+ years ago? No one’s injury should be cheered, but it’s a bit weird to still be that mad about it. Just haven’t seen a bit of that on the Sabres board since I joined, I assumed it was a bit more recent.

It’s less about being mad and more about a loss of respect.

So you are saying that people should forget when a team's fans are assholes here? I see.

And as far as you wondering about the reaction on MDC, just look internally. If there was a post made on the main boards with the headline "Skinner playing on top line and getting 30 minutes a night" and I posted "Sabers just trying to pretend that their shit signing is still a first line superstar" how do you think the reaction would be? Are you that dense that you can't figure out the reaction?

I’m saying it’s 6 years ago, I’ve seen no proof, and I doubt the guy who’s JOKE got all that vitriol was involved.

Are you that dense where you think this is the main board? Or that we don’t know the Skinner signing was shit? We say it ourselves all the time and it’s mentioned constantly. On the actual main board. Goddamn, it was a joke Frankie Borelli.

Mind boggling how the team bends over backwards for Dal Colle and is given all the chance in the world to develop, meanwhile Ho-Sang who looked a million times the player Dal Colle is and was was sent to Sweden and was never given an actual shot during the Lou era

Not that surprising. Effort and being coachable allows you to carve out some sort of a career, even as a bottom 6 forward. Dal Colle may be a bust based on where he was drafted, but he at least earned the coaches confidence that he'll play within the system.

Who cares how Ho-Sang looked when he was sent to Sweden, it is obvious Lou had no intention of using him and I am sure Ho-Sang thought last year was another wash of a year until Sweden called

That's part of Josh's problem... you want a career, you keep in shape waiting for the call. He went to Sweden and didn't meet their conditioning standards.

I don't see the point of MDC.

He's positionally sound. I'll give him that. But he doesn't score, and he doesn't use his body that much, so he isn't really an energy guy.

What role does he have on an NHL team?

He'll play in in Bridgeport where they're trying to change the culture (he actually absolutely lit the place on fire last time he was down there), and be a known commodity to plug on a line in case of injuries. He's proven he can hold down a defensive role in a Trotz system, and that's at least worth a 2 way contract

Why are NYI fans so combative? He didn’t say anything about the fans, and Buffalo’s awfulness is irrelevant here. It’s weird that the Isles keep this dude around. Maybe just let the joke be a joke? Or fly off the handles at the slightest provocation, whichever.
Why is it weird to keep younger players around when you have a vet heavy team? He’s a spare part and all teams need them. Maybe they actually like the player he is even if he underachieved relative to his draft?

Josh Bailey was rushed to the NHL, and he was still scoring 20-35 points till his game finally came together around 2016. If MDC was anywhere close to being a 20-35 point player now, then I'd say he has a role on a NHL teams 3rd line.

NYI just can't accept their top 5 pick from the Vanek trade is a bust so they're treating him like a player as their coping mechanism.

His scoring increased tracked to his permanent move to the off-wing. However, he was a solid player all the way back in 2012-2013 playing with Okposo and Nielsen.
