No clue how they can fit Dal Colle on the team, they already have like 15 forwards.

NYI just can't accept their top 5 pick from the Vanek trade is a bust so they're treating him like a player as their coping mechanism.

lol this is pretty cringe. Worry about your own tire fire of a team and stop worrying about our busts. Have you checked out our team forum we have exactly ONE fan who posts positive sht on this trash player and he is doing it as satire.

And your trash team has managed to do exactly what since Vanek played there seven years ago? They haven't made the playoffs for ten straight seasons and are arguably the biggest joke in the league.

Lol, as a transaction junkie and nerd, Lou is the worst.
Not even Dal Colle is signed, but "will be under contract"
He’s really out here trolling media all summer. It’s kind of hilarious how on brand it is.

Also that Vanek JT Okposo line was just about the top line in the league while together. In retro it was a bad move overall but whatever.

Also hitting waivers I bet

Yup. It's all about depth, and roster flexibility. I suspect MDC is the player that they really *want* to get through waivers as a 13th-14th forward. He'll be good in the Bridge, and won't hurt NYI defensively in a bottom-6 role.

The GM who picked Dal Colle is coaching youth hockey. Get your shit straight, or not (no one gives a f***).

Why are NYI fans so combative? He didn’t say anything about the fans, and Buffalo’s awfulness is irrelevant here. It’s weird that the Isles keep this dude around. Maybe just let the joke be a joke? Or fly off the handles at the slightest provocation, whichever.

Fleming island, Fl
not for nothing MDC forechecks very well and has some good size. Could be worse of an option on your bottom 6. guy has some decent mitts too. He just takes forever to let it go and just does not have that "it" factor to be a scorer at the NHL level. Still pulling for him to make the NYI. Some competition to leapfrog though

Because there were longass threads on the Sabres board about how great it was that Tavares got injured because that would give Buffalo a higher draft pick, iirc.

Mind boggling how the team bends over backwards for Dal Colle and is given all the chance in the world to develop, meanwhile Ho-Sang who looked a million times the player Dal Colle is and was was sent to Sweden and was never given an actual shot during the Lou era

It's not mind-boggling at all. MDC did everything he was asked to do and improved defensively. Thank god because that's the only way he'll be a successful tweener . Ho-Sang started off on the wrong foot and couldn't keep his conditioning up and wasn't in game shape when he was loaned out overseas in addition to ignoring his coaches time and time again.

Great talent that somehow couldn't stick on the Island, the bridge, another AHL team and two Swedish teams. Reviews at each all said the following....great skillset, not involved more than half the time. That becomes incredibly frustrating for coaching and an organization.

Maybe Toronto gets something out of him. Chances are there might be some flashes of awesome talent but there's a better chance of that going by the wayside and then o-zone errors and defensive lapses will be the norm.

Who cares how Ho-Sang looked when he was sent to Sweden, it is obvious Lou had no intention of using him and I am sure Ho-Sang thought last year was another wash of a year until Sweden called

The difference is simple. Ho-Sang is replacement level AHLer and Dal Colle is a replacement level NHLer.

Hahaha, Dal Colle has still yet to match Josh's NHL points total while playing twice as many games, you are a funny guy
