Congrats on signing Jilulian Guatemala!“H” by a letter!!!!
He has rare and I mean RARE size and speed, but he has no idea how to use his natural gifts. Very frustrating player.
He's good at drawing penalties, though.
Sounds like an Engvall clone, before he found a role - Maybe they'll form a shutdown line.big and fast, can't finish. frustrating player. always thought he should have been coached up to pk while with NYR.
and house league hockey sensehe has 1st round talent
Then he’ll get the Nikita Soshnikov treatment but wind up in the AHL instead of Russia.Word of warning, in training camp and pre-season, he’ll look like your best forward. Don’t fall for it.
Be careful, Cal might get hurt in the process of that.Really nice little signing. Matt and Cal have a year to rub off on him.
The problem is he's playing fourth line because of his play, not production. If his play was better, he'd be playing higher up in the lineup. He brings a lot of speed, can be physical at times, but just reminds me of grabner with less hands and little IQ.9 goals in 57 games last year is pretty good production for a 4th liner, certainly compared to what the Isles 4th liners put up last year:
Martin, Cizikas and Clutterbuck combined for 19 goals in 201 games played
The real question is, does he skate better than Grabner did? That running on ice used to make me cringe. The problem is he's playing fourth line because of his play, not production. What's that got to do with the point I'm making? And Grabner scored 175 goals in 640 NHL games, which is 22 goals per season pro-rated. What the heck is wrong with that? A 4th-liner who scores 15 goals a season would be pretty valuable to this team. The problem is he's playing fourth line because of his play, not production. Not what I said at all. And I didn't compare his production to grabner....What's that got to do with the point I'm making? Sounds like Nichushkin before he busted out. This dude would be a great player if he didn't have rocks for brains and hands.
I’m hoping he does that as well (either Clutterbuck, Johnston or Martin; preferably all 3). His speed seems to be his best asset from how everyone keeps talking. He’d be great alongside a guy like Cizikas who’s just a pure workhorse on the 4th line.I love to see guys steal a spot - here's hoping it happens.
