Sounds a lot like Hudson Fasching before this past season. Got a solid shot and managed to put together a decent campaign to etch himself a spot on the roster.
Better skating than Fasching but less of a grinder. He’ll be in the running as a 4th line option when Clutterbuck hits the shelf, but will probably only be noticable for like 4 out of the 15 games he’ll get.

Clutterbuck belongs on Robias Island at this point. Same with his buddy Matty Marts. Shift Fasching down with Durandeau or someone similar.

he has 1st round talent

What does this even mean? He was literally drafted in the 1st round some moons ago but has been a disappointment bordering on bust. his current trade value would be something close to Future Considerations.

Does one thing well, and that's drive the net for a partial breakaway once every couple of games or so, that he usually doesn't bury.

Other than that, he doesn't generate anything, and is below average defensive player who can't play special teams.

He has rare and I mean RARE size and speed, but he has no idea how to use his natural gifts. Very frustrating player.

He's good at drawing penalties, though.

He is really not bad at all. In the right circumstance he can be a solid bottom 6 contributor. A ton of speed and a big body but doesn’t know how to put it all together.

If he was consistently physical he'd be able to carve out a role for himself at that size/speed but the interest level comes and goes. For sure can play on a 4th line but if you're a team with any ambition you could probably do better.
