Proposal: NYI/BOS

This. Hagens is exactly what the Bruins need. If the Isles want him, they'd have to overpay. Eiserman + Isles 2026 1st would be my ask.

But You need Eiserman to make Hagens useful. It's like Salt and Pepper

As for the 2026 first sure if it's like top 10/13ish protected

Islanders won the lottery and their fans lost all sense of trade value lmao

I think most people lose sense of trade value when they proposing a trade of their team and another. Probably the fairest trade people can come up with are for 2 teams they not invested in.

Many see football pick trades and think it's comparable when it's not

In the last 25 years there have been only a handful of trades where teams moved out of top 10 outright for a player or a large pick drop down like to 20+.

The times these have occurred when Teams traded away known picks 6-10 for players mainly have been pressure/ panic moves by GMs needing to win. Some have traded diwn a fee spots. The exception was Pittsburgh trading an ELC ending Staal to Caroliba for pick 7-9 OA and a few other players involved.

Bruins can always flip Pageau for a pick at the deadline.
So what’s the point of trading for him in the first place? They lose a top ten pick that they could have used to select a potential 1C, gain two players who probably dont move the needle if they’re aiming to be a contender next year, and then they can trade one of them for maybe a second round pick. It’s a terrible offer.

Isles aren't going balls out to craft a trade for this kid just because he grew up on LI(at least I hope not). I just don't get this love affair with Hagans. So he grew up here....who cares? That shouldn't count for ANYTHING! The fact that he grew up on LI doesn't make him a better prospect than anyone else. ENOUGH.

Player has 5 mill cap hit, 3.5 in actual salary, expiring contract, 13g, 29a, 59.6% faceoff circle, PKs. Your fellow team's poster perceives this as negative value. Poster is wrong. Those are usually the players that move at the deadline for 2nd rounders + b-c prospect.

Really not hard to figure out...
Because he's right and youre flaunting a guy a half season away from being eligible for social security as a ++ asset and he's not.

no where near the value. Pags has little to no value, Romanov + a pick 25-32 doesn't get you to the top 10.
Bruins should be realistically targeting Utah to move up to 4th ova. whomever of Misa, Hagens, Frondell are left, you take.

Pageau, and he’s definitely a positive (could even be flipped for 2nd, maybe a first at deadline if the season goes wrong).

Any GM who trades the 7th OA pick and doesn’t IMMEDIATELY improve their squad to the point that the sales pitch becomes “well you can always sell off Pageau for a 2nd or 1st at the deadline” would be immediately fired.

LD just isn’t the issue in Boston w/ Lindholm, Zadarov, Lohrei. Scoring is the issue and Romanov and Pageau don’t help that.
