Lmfao, you say no to Pirri? And you say they need to trade Zucc... Just stop please. Your posts are almost always illogical.

no to the stop, and your lack of comprehension of logic

Pirri is not Saad, and we can't keep signing every shiny toy.
We need to be able to move various contracts as we do such ads.
obviously, if it is a choice, Vesey is the one we sign.

Zuc is not being shown the bum's rush.
You need to learn that the vet core MUST be moved regardless of what fantasy some wanna hold on to.
we were not good enough to win
must flip for new assets with idea of getting better

btw, THAT is logic

We NEED to trade Zucc? Come on...
sorry to move a fan favorite
but whether it is for Vatanen
or
for multiple assets/prospects/picks
he needs to be repurposed.

Not trading Kreider for Barrie straight up is a sin.
W/out Kreider we = Canadiens

smart play here would be dump vet, sign Demers - a bridge now closed - to 1 year deal only, then, when you get past expansion draft, you have inside track to sign him for longer.

Kreider goes in a package for an elite, or for an overpayment. Not fair value.

Demers already signed, and Barrie outscored Kreider as a D-Man this year

Yes, I said that bridge was now closed re Demers being signed!

as to Barrie, he may be overrated but he is still talented
he is all he is, no more, no less, let's just not say he is Doughty

When we lose AV and let Kreider be Kreider w/regular linemates not 20 gazillion changes, CK will continue to grow into what we think his potential is

I'd pay for Barrie, just not in that currency, if the ask was not huge, and face it, quite properly, it will be.

Demers signed with the Panthers, so that ship has long ago sailed.

I'd do every single one of these moves and not even think twice about it lol.

However the only realistic one is the Yakupov one, but even that is a stretch as the team probably doesn't want to move any more picks.

No, he's not doughty. There is no realistic package on our team that could get us doughty. Not even a unrealistic package, like Kreider having 2 brothers with his exact size and speed.

You keep saying that losing Kreider makes us the undersized Canadiens. Kreider has great size, but he's so streaky, more than half the time he's not even using his size. Sure, he could "Someday" put it all together, but I don't think he's worth more than Tyson Barrie who is still only 24.

Trade Brass?? Seriously? Damn I wish my team had your «giant» problems. . Rangers doesnt need re-tooling. You need a minor adjustment.

Disagree. We don't need a re-tool. We need a major rebuild.

This roster is way too mediocre to accomplish one of the two things we need most: winning the Cup or being bad enough to draft in the top 3, where all the franchise changing talent is. We've been a playoff team all but one year since the first lockout. So we've never had a chance to draft what this franchise lacks most.

This team as currently constructed will be the worst team in the Metro within 3 years, and then we'll start rebuilding. Hopefully. But until then, this whole thing is a waste of time.

But yes, a much simpler, minor adjustment would be to fire AV.

When one of the three following happens, a coach usually gets fired. All three happened:

Our entire roster had the worst season of their careers, everyone outside Miller. Most of the guys we consider our "core" (Kreider, Hayes, Nash, Girardi, Staal), regressed hard. AND on top of that we had our worst playoff showing in a decade.

AV put our entire roster in a position to fail. I mean what was the point in wasting prime assets to bring in Yandle and Staal if you're not going to utilize them correctly. The few times AV actually gave Staal a chance to succeed he showed flashes of his 70 point former self. The game in Anaheim and then the Letang OTL at MSG, stand out among a few others. But emphasis on the few.
