Tyson Barrie

Chris Kreider

Very speedy and gritty young Kreider

Kevin Shattenkirk

:blues
Derick Brassard

Much needed center for the Blues, great piece coming back instead of losing Shatty for nothing next summer

Nail Yakupov

2017 3rd Round Pick

Yak could be gret in Eastern conference, needs change of scenory. Speedy to help the Ranger

:rangers
Valeri Nichushkin
:stars
Marc Staal

Dallas gets a great goalie prospect and a very solid defensive defencemen (we could maybe retain some celery) Staal would solidify you at LD after acquiring Hamhuis. Nice mix of offensive & defensive defencemen and a solid goalie prospect, Dallas should be a gret team!

Sign Brandon Pirri & Jimmy Vesey

Vesey comes to play with his buddy Hayes

Nash - Stepan - Zuccarello
Miller - Hayes - Nichushkin
Buchnevich - Pirri - Yakupov
Vesey - Lindberg - Grabner

McDonagh - Shattenkirk
Skjei - Barrie
McIlrath - Klein

Lundqvist
Raanta

Rangers get younger & faster, and much improve D

Rangers would be stupid to trade Brassard for Shattenkirk. Brassard has been very good for you guys and he's under contract. No guarantee Shattenkirk can re-sign there, although it's likely with his infatuation with the Rangers.

It's fair to assume such a deal would include an extension.

Deal can be dependent on an extension agreement.

I'd take a chance on the Yakupov and Shattenkirk trades. I think Shattenkirk resigns but there should be a condition pick in case he doesn't, probably a 2nd. Stars signed Hamhuis so no need for Staal. Chris Kreider should be enough to bring Tyson Barrie by himself. I'd include Kevin Klein if a 3rd round pick came back. Hell no to including Ryan Gropp as well.

Could you explain the reasoning behind the Dallas trade? Why does Dallas do that?

Very speedy and gritty young Kreider, great center prospect in Gropp, and a great price-controlled defencemen to serve as a RD replacement (you could switch to McIlrath if you guys are wanting to be youngs)

No, thanks

Barrie overrated, do not want esp at cost of kreider and the rest of it is huge overpayment.

No on Shatty for Brass
Brass is too valuable to give up for a guy who has rental value, who, on top of that, we may get free anyway. Can't afford to give away a Brass for nada.

Yak for a 3rd is ok, but not sure if there are not better deals to be had.

I would do Staal for Nick, but not Igor Shestyorkin, who could be a top G at this point.

Vesey yes, Pirri no.

The guys we need to move here are Stepan, Zuc, not Kreider, Miller
like dat.

After acquiring Barrie, why would we then trade our #1 center for Shattenkirk?

And what are you doing with Girardi? Tossing him in the East River?

Figured you'd throw Dallas in there somewhere and that it would be terrible and I am not disappointed.

Marc Staal would help the Star and Nichushkin might leave the KHL for nothing

We have 6 left shots and 2 right ones right now, so it makes no sense to trade for a defenseman. Staal is super overpaid. Staal wouldn't play ahead of Hamhuis, Lindell, or Oduya. Staal has a freaking NMC and needs protection from expansion which would cost us a good and cheap young defenseman.

Any free agent of any kind can leave to the KHL for nothing, but for some reason you are willing to take that risk despite paying a solid goalie prospect and the great Marc Staal. Hmmmmmmmmmm. There has been a total of one "rumor" about the KHL which even the Russian media pulled after 15 minutes because whoever made it up forgot Nichushkin's KHL rights are held by SKA. If he and his agent were looking to improve their position for negotiation they'd have leaked KHL interest by now, it's surprising they haven't.

It cost Teravainen to move 1 year of Bickell and he only makes 4m. 6 years of 5.7m is going to cost an arm and a leg to move and you won't be getting any Nichushkins back in return.

What would you trade Nichushkin for? Staal + Hayes?

Lmfao, you say no to Pirri? And you say they need to trade Zucc... Just stop please. Your posts are almost always illogical.

Not trading Kreider for Barrie straight up is a sin.

Two realistic trades I'd be down with:

Nash or Brassard to Nashville for one of Jarnkrok or Arvidsson (depends on who we trade and what hole opens), a good almost NHL ready prospect (not sure of their farm outside Fiala, Kamenev) and a 1st or a 2nd depending on how much we'd be retaining on Nash.

Klein to Edmonton for any combo of Bear, Khaira, Yakimov or Slepyshev

all it takes to get Barrie is Kreider?

I doubt it. Barrie is outscoring Kreider as a defenseman. Kreider at 25 have yet to break 50 points. While his athleticism is undeniable, it's just part of the toolset you need to be the kind of guy some have claimed he will be for five years now.

Just dropping in to say that this is absolutely wrong. Staal would be very effective paired with Klingberg, Honka, or Johns for you guys.

Get a clue, he's on an atrocious contract with an NMC. There isn't an NHL team that wouldn't be screwed by him and it's a mortal certainty he'll screw them again when the next expansion hits because his contract is so long. Even if we stipulate that he is a passable NHL defenseman, his contract is poison hence the tremendous negative value.
