Not saying I would do it but 8 means they get a shot at one of the top defensemen. There is also a drop off in this draft after 9-10 so......

All that being said I think Chicago would have to add a bit hypothetically I would say 11 + (15-18) for 8 would be more fair

To get one if the top D-men. Maybe the value is off, but with the drop off from 8 to 11, that has to be worth a lot.

I guess it comes down to moving up from 11 to 8 vs. 29 to 12, which would cost more in this draft?

Every single HFboards proposal for our 1st rounders have been terrible and all need to apply the "but what if the Islanders really really really badly want what I'm offering" stipulation. Make sure we're doing your team a favor and not the other way around.
