So we will see then. If he comes back at full 100% then this was likely BS

Nurse crossed the line but it was a headlock to the ice (almost no chance of injury), then a punch/cross check to the head. That one might have caused injury but all the contact, even his head hitting the ice, was on the helmet. It's not impossible he'd be hurt but it seems unlikely

They better not. They're not that kind of club that can even do that. Storm before the tea. Teams will be down to business trying to win on the ice. Doubt it becomes something else.

Seems like we should be practicing special teams a lot for this series

If the Kings want to retaliate then the refs will call them on it

Are you talking about the Kings or the Oilers? Either way its going to be physical and nasty.

As others have mentioned Byfield will be impacted one way or the other. he doesn't seem to be the kind of player that has the metal to rebound quickly from getting drilled. Really if Byfield had any kind of meanstreak in him it would've been seen by now.

In effect Nurse probably does what he does because it could make Byfield more pedestrian in the playoffs. For a big player he sure doesn't play up to size. He's never really shown that facet. About as much as he does using size is bounce off some hits.

Game 1 will be tame aside from maybe a staged fight or two and hits. That's always the way it is in the modern NHL

The refs will know a storm may be coming and will get ahead of it. There will be a pep talk from the refs that crossing the line will bury you

3 for polak, 1 for headbutting, and 1 for this.

Its also alot of flames fans blasting the Oilers org for this, when they defended Dube and have Pospisil who's had more suspensions than Nurse already.

An org that put the 80's version Flames on the ice shouldn't be crying about anything than how completely awful the team video sing songs were.

If ever there was a team put together to just be mayhem and try to beat just one other club by taking the game to the gutter. Every f***ing time with that club. Its in Flames DNA. their bandwagon doesn't even know it.

This whole situation could be a blessing in disguise. Nurse gets a break before the games matter, and probably feels or was told it was a bit dumb what he did to his team there, so is less likely to repeat. And on the other side, I don't mind the Kings having a bit of fear that Darnell might go full Pejorative Slur on one of them if they decide to get chippy with our guys.
 
Byfield was being a pos all game. Nurse sent him the right message before the real games begin. I fkn love it. Also would like to see Foegele get the business from Jones, Kane or Frederic. He's been playing us hard and physical all year, it pisses me off because its a team/fanbase that loved him and he's acting like we slighted him or some shit.

This series is going to be spicy, and i 100% support Darnell's actions, and hope he does it again if they get out of line
