His first game against the Flyers after no longer being there, everyone wanted to fight him and were making sure to go out of their way to finish checks on him. Even players who weren’t necessarily physical people. Iirc.

I think he made negative comments about Philly as a whole too.

I still want to know what happened to make his ex-teammates so pissed. They were making runs at him and yapping at him the entire game. Excessive even for the rivalry. It definitely resulted in a couple power plays for his new employers, and pissing off all of Philadelphia was a cheat code to get all of Pittsburgh to love the guy.

He definitely leaned into which side of the rivalry he preferred being on after switching teams, but nobody on the Pittsburgh side of things really had a clue why the entire Flyers roster was taking runs at a waiver claim.

I get the Preds would like to have a veteran RD callup option, sort of like how they have called up Gravel, except with the right shot option. But still, it's a deal that mostly helps make up for how decimated the Milwaukee lineup has been. No?
