Novak is a skilled player, but he's the next guy the Preds are running out of town. I don't think he really fits the profile of guys who Playoff teams are really going to take a look at, however. A 2nd is too much for what he's doing now.

Preds have no use for Lazar, and would love to dump off Novak, despite that he's a good player. But I don't see the fit here in this proposal. Some rebuilding team should just take Novak for a 5th, that's more the deal that would work. Give him an opportunity, he'll produce. But he's not really the kind of player that playoff teams want to acquire before the deadline.
