If Hartman can replace Simmonds as 3RW and offer some feistiness, skill and just, well, not handle the puck like a hand grenade, I'll be happy. Liked him as a prospect, then as a Hawk and Pred. We'll see. I know people are whining about the return, but you can't hold a gun to other GMs and make them take your players, esp. when there were lots of options for rentals.Hartman will fill a spot in Phillys third line and he will be cheap. For a team that doesnt need a "burn it down and start from scratch" rebuild this is probably a better move than getting a draft pick
I actually really like Hartman. Think he'll significantly improve with Philly.
Flyers trade a POS for a younger POS and a draft pick
I also hate this trade as a Jets fan. This guy will be a pain in the ass to play against.
Hartman for Nashville has played 7 games in regular season against WPG and has 2 goals and 1 assist in those same 2 years, Simmonds has 2 assist in 4 games against WPG.Hartman might overall have been an average player but he turned it on against the Jets . I am glad he is out of Nashville. Nashville lost the better 5 on 5 player in favor of the better PP player. Considering how their PP has been this season, it might be worth it for them.

Stylin' 'n profilin'.......WOOO!Nashville got the better playoff player and lost the better regular season player. Ask our defensemen how much fun this guy will be to play against.
I'm sure the Preds watched Reaves giving us problems last spring. Now they have a better version. Ugh.
Fletcher seems to have preferred a roster player/ready prospect vs. a package of mulitple draft picks, which we can only assume was 2nd and 4th or something like that, certainly not a 1st. Hartman's a good player who could do very well in Philly. Has the speed and skill you need in a bottom 6 winger, and has some toughness too, which should endear him to the home crowd...I'm surprised nobody offered more than Nashville.
Don't get me wrong, I like Hartman (ex-Hawk) but I expected a larger return for Simmonds.
Unless the Flyers really wanted Hartman?

15 time, 15 time CHAMPION OF THE WORLD
Hartman is excited to be in Philadelphia.
Nice elbow to the head. What a piece of **** he is.
