Good value for the Devils. I wouldn't say Fiddlers been bad, but I wouldn't say he's been good either. Very likeable guy though, wish him the best.

Fiddler has been my favorite 4th liner for probably 7-8 years, but I have no idea how he got a 4th. Well done, Shero.

 at those stoked to be getting a 4th round pick

Getting any asset for a guy that has no future with your team and is basically just taking up a roster spot that could be used to give younger players a shot is good.

A 4th is traditionally a valuable trade chip for moving up in the 2nd round or trading for struggling prospects that may do better with a fresh start. That isn't huge in itself, but every opportunity to improve your team you add will slowly contribute to finding more diamonds in the rough.

Yeah but from what I'm hearing this year's draft is going to be ****. I'm talking David Legwand taken #2 level ****.

Is that how you felt last off season when your leafs loaded up on picks? Why not be excited to get a pick for scrub. I'd be very happy

This is regarding the top of the draft. I feel like a 4th is a 4th on any given year. It's already a speculative type of pick.

I love that Shero was able to get value and clear up a spot. PAP, Bennett, Kalinin...they need to see if they can get anything for them. It looks like they are finally giving up on Josefson developing any type of offensive ability but he can be good as PKer and 4th-liner. Clear the dead weight and play the kids. Make more waiver claims like Noesen. DSP stays as expansion-draft fodder.

Surprised that a player can go for a 4th rounder when they've only scored 3 points while on the wrong side of 35.

Wow. If Fiddler can get a 4th, I don't see many players moving to another team with that kind of silly payment. I wouldn't have given a 4th for him when he was 26 let alone 36

Not so surprising inasmuch as he has a history in Nashville. But, in the same spirit, the Predators do have a history of overpaying for fourth liners in trades.

Could have given me a 6th and I would've been happy. Fiddler seems like a great guy but has been terrible for us.. and at this point, his roster spot is more valuable than whatever he can bring to the table. We have enough kids to take looks at that the 4th is just gravy.

Hmmm......what could Belemare get?

Not much. He doesnt have the longevity nor reputation Fiddler has around the league. I wouldve been stoked with a 2018 7th for Fiddler, but all it takes is one GM and Poile was familiar with him. No one is familiar with PEB

Except for all the GM's that watched him play well at the World Cup just last summer.

Clueless as usual.
