Listened on the radio. Blankenberg is even smaller on the radio. (They were calling it: Who was that? Was that Evangelista? I don't know...)
With the way Trotz has dealt with his recent extensions, MAKE IT HAPPEN!!Bruno just got an eleven year extension
Cause no one expected him to play?Didn't see the game yesterday so I'm checking the different game reports and I notice Barron didn't play...the kid is already pressboxed? How did that not make it into the GDT?
He likely wont play either until Blankenburg or Wilsby do something to get sat out or there is a trade of one of the vets.Didn't see the game yesterday so I'm checking the different game reports and I notice Barron didn't play...the kid is already pressboxed? How did that not make it into the GDT?
The point is still the nonsensical nature of all these moves. Wilsby, I like, but what is the point of Blankenburg? Is this really some fallacy that management just has to run to it's final conclusion, just like Grimaldi? Must we suffer through the idiocy of another infatuation with a tiny player? Worse yet, this time, a guy that plays defense. And we're still stuck with RHD Josi and top line Lauzon, it's just lunacy.
Fabbro would've never been put on the ice in that OT.How dare those Milwaukee guys keep scoring goals instead of the old, slow veterans making 7 - 8 million a season!!!
The Preds should have kept Fabbro.
It'll be interesting to see Fabbro's OT usage as time goes on. He can make long accurate passes and get shots on net even from bad passes which seem like important skills.Fabbro would've never been put on the ice in that OT.
But throwing him away for nothing was a dumb move.
Agreed. It'll be interesting to see Fabbro's OT usage as time goes on. He can make long accurate passes and get shots on net even from bad passes which seem like important skills.
Who said they were building around him? Right now he's just the guy that is playing well and they are using. In 3 months he may not even be here.Fun fact. Blankenburg and Girard were born the same day, May 12, 1998. Fabbro, born 5 weeks later, was the Preds 1st round pick in 2016, Girard was a Preds 2nd round pick that year, Blankenburg went undrafted.
Oddly, this current Preds braintrust has settled on the smallest and least experienced of the three to build their future RHD around.
