Never understood the complaints about 7:30 starts It's just an extra 30 minutes

It's likely so people on the west coast get a better viewing time. When the Leafs are in Vancouver on a Saturday, everyone out here complains about the 4pm local start (as opposed to 7pm). Funny how both fanbases claim they're hard done by.

I know people hate the 11/7 but I think the blender is giving every player time with other players, so that if Keefe has to shuffle things around a bit in the playoffs, there are no combinations were the players haven't played together.

Under the11/7 system there's likely no combinations where the players have played together enough to develop some real chemistry. (Especially in the Leafs scenario where there's a few new skaters in the mix)

I know I'm not an expert but when's the last time a Stanley Cup winner was using 11/7 consistently in the last few weeks of the season and/or in the playoffs? Or any team for that matter? I just don't think Keefe is the going to be the one to discover the next fad in coaching tactics.

I actually find Tavares to be one of our more consistent players, at least effort wise. His effectiveness varies as he can struggle against speedy opponents but he gives an honest effort basically every game.

For me when going down to the game, that's 30 minutes later getting home which can make a difference if I have an early morning.
If I'm watching at home, 7 is usually when I am ready to relax after dinner. No biggie, would just rather start watching then flip around for 30 minutes.

I always try to have a pregame nap after my first dinner and two beers. Then I’m good till midnight. But I live alone so that’s a benefit. Also handy being alone as I don’t have to wear pants whenever I want. Lol.

TB used it pretty consistently in the playoffs as they were winning the Cup

Do we not have a lack of forward depth now? It seems like if fully healthy we have 12 forwards and then Simmer as 13th? So if one single player goes down we're already at icing Simmer? What happens if more than one go down? How did we end up with 10D and 12F??
