U18: Norway 2025

Norway beat Germany 6-3 and then an OT loss and a PS loss. Funny format. I actually thought they would get hammered from the get go, but after two good games against US and Germany there might be some hope of avoiding relegation. There were some question marks in a video preview on the Ds, all playing in Norway. However, Norway U20 with the new format is maybe more competetive that it used to. Many of them has also had some experience in the men's league, that might be an upside to staying at home rather than going to Sweden. Vålerenga U20 with some Storhamar add ons won the Karlstad Challenge against Färjestad, BIK Karlskoga, Denmark, France and Hungary to my recollection. Gonna be fun, but the group looks tough. Latvia looks strong. Would maybe rather have Switzerland this year?

I love that you guys have a solid team too, it makes the entire tournament way more exciting and competitive.

I think the parity between teams in this group is unprecedented and I honestly believe that we could see some unexpected results and placements in the end.

Norway u20 Leauge is not better than Sweden u20 Leauge. Not many would agree with you that is it.

Oh, no. I didn't mean that. U20 Nationell is probably much better. I just meant that it is been gaining some ground, and becoming an ok alternative as a development league. Also considering that the possibility for combining it with some senior hockey in the EHL, where the bar is lower than in the SHL or probably also most of the Allsvenskan teams. This is the tourney I was talking about: U20 Super Challenge | stats.swehockey.se Vålerenga had some 5 players borrowed from Storhamar, but still a good sign that the league is getting better. (Vålerenga ended outside the Final four in Norway U20 in the end, Storhamar won.)

I didn't see this coming. Switzerland have been in the elite division for 19 years.
5-4 win in shootout against Switzerland in the relegation battle. Third year in a row now that Norway stay up after being in the relegation match. Denmark coming up next year so we should have a decent chanche next year as well.

2+2 for Aaram Olsen, and 1+1 for Eriksen. Our best players delivered today.

Well fought boys!
