be interesting to see if he cna pull in some 5 star recruit in next couple years unc is just a mid tier school in cfb not even on the lower high tier like a penn state or wisconsin or something

They did announce they'd increase their NIL pool to $20million, and who knows, with Belichick there you may get some wealthy alumni (maybe even MJ) topping that off.

really thought he'd hold out for the nfl just so he could break shula's record. i guess teams just aren't willing to give him the unlimited power he wants

I thought so too, hes no spring chicken but he could always circle back to the NFL in a few years. Regardless, with or without the record hes still considered the GOAT coach.

One thing about this is that he’s basically ceding the coaching wins record

If Bill didn’t come back with his cronies, then he be back in the NFL. He took Mike Lombardi with him to UNC, known Belicheck cronie.

Judge, Patricia, McDaniels are probably on his way to UNC too.
I wonder if he’ll sucker conference rivals into hiring them and getting their programs run into the ground.:sarcasm:

belichick hates the jets so much he would've taken the job only to resign right before his introductory presser for a second time

That would have been great, they could have had everyone assembled, and announced him to applause and .... nothing, nobody comes out.... they hurriedly throw it to the team analyst backstage to find Rodgers beaten up on a heap on the ground and a glimpse of Belichick speeding away in a red convertible
