Agreed. Top 6 in the draft are all forwards anyways, would be a good time to draft a goalie 2nd-3rd round…. Our D core is set

So where does the European ,2 o/a’s cali potentially Hodgson and 2 draft picks play when you already have the 10 forwards excluding 9 and 23? Do you expect all seven to play upfront? Someone on D will be replaced do to numbers

I think you’ll see some trades eventually. This year will be more of an “earn your roster spot” rather than last years trial and error system to find which prospects had potential. Great for us as it ensures we’re competitive.

even as a local 9 should continue in same role might ask for a trade and 23 well did not see enough of him

I’m sure you could get a 15 th round pick for either …..point is ,neither has much value.maybe you could get a mid round for 20 from a western conference team but not much value with the players on the cut line

There are only Manzo & Greer as RD? The last thing the battalion need is another RW; but where they pick, they probably get a RW/RC first and RD in round two.

Very true… we need more left shot forwards and a right shot d man. Trading 7 and 22 for an OA RHD wouldn’t be the worst thing. Keeping 4 and 5 on the same pairing again might work nicely, good chemistry and complimentary play styles.

Very true… we need more left shot forwards and a right shot d man. Trading 7 and 22 for an OA RHD wouldn’t be the worst thing. Keeping 4 and 5 on the same pairing again might work nicely, good chemistry and complimentary play styles.

Expect to see a veteran D added on the cheap as the 2nd part of the Romani trade.

Allegedly he’s a player who prior to the new NCAA/CHL agreement he was firmly committed to the NCAA route. I have heard that since the rule change there is a possibility that he comes here for a season or 2. If he had committed to the OHL prior to the draft he would have been taken much, much earlier. I also heard that he spent some time here around the final week of the regular season. 2 scoops on this kid from 2 different folks. Hard to say so don’t put too much stock in it but he could be a pleasant surprise.

We also have the rights to his Culver teammate Austin Brekelmans who has committed to Bowling Green.

Oh man, what a year for the Battalion! The most talented player in the draft in many opinions, and exactly what we need, a true playmaking center to feed our shooting wingers like Vaughan. 2nd round pick looked good too, big heavy hitting 200+lb Dman

Left handed and a shutdown physical style, so likely we will see Ride-Enright-Kunopaski on the left side, and Greer-Manzo-Kapageridis on the right. Turley or Wilson gone I’m sure.

Kunopaski is likely the 7th D this season. I don’t think the battalion go past the January trade deadline with 6-RW and 4-‘07 D. So unless Therrien and Turley are worth considerably more in trade, I expect 1-2 of the ‘07 D and Moses to be moved.
