North Bay Battalion 2024 25 Season Thread Part I

He played the whole game against Oshawa. Was told he ripped open his leg in the gym after the game on some faulty equipment. Took an ambulance to the hospital from the arena and had 16 - 32 stitches put in. From what I hear the slice was massive and deep. I saw him on crutches on Friday so he may be out a while.
Rumour has it Nashville Predators very interested in Amidovski…. Anyone got the scoop on our 2 time OHL goalie of the week Cash Money Mike? Seriously think he’s a gem, look at the league stats and he’s top 5 in numbers for starters, on a weaker team. Would love to see Mike get drafted!
are we slotted 6th overall for OHL draft? if so that would be best case scenario IMO, get some playoff games and still highest pick possible.
2024 6th rounder KH skated with the Team today. Currently at Culver Academy USA. Would be a good pick up for next season if he besides to come.

Anyone have an inclining who the Battalion are leaning towards drafting? Looks like a good year to not be in the lottery, no concrete 1OA
Slow start lost us the game, likely a result of an anxious young roster. On the bright side, lots of mistakes by Brantford, Lardis very emotional and easily thrown off, discipline issues across the team. Game 2 might be a little different now that the nerves have settled. Ammo/Pazii/Welly line terrific once again.

Too worried about taking cheap shots behind the play. Which resulted in the “discipline issues across the team” for the Bulldogs, but also fuelled the fire for plenty of big hits. Game in person I’m sure was different than what you would have seen on TV.
Boys played a good after the first 10 mins. Couple of missed assignments early. Brantford was out to push them around and intimidate with lots of dirty work behind the play which you probably didn’t see in camera.
NB did good pushing back. Intimidation factor is gone now, NB takes game two.

If we get Enright back in the lineup some of that intimidation style play might stop real quick…
I don’t think there’s a more annoying announcer than the young guy with Brantford… quit your complaining and call the game!
Next season it's time to move on from Therrien and Turley! If you're not improving, you're replaceable.
I liked how they went on and on about how Therrien dropped his gloves in a scuffle with Budnick while totally ignoring the fact that Budnick did the exact same thing in the first period that also went unpenalized.
