I have to give credit where credit is due to Bronson Ride. The kid played his heart out. He's been put down so much lately for his play lately it was good to see him step up. Having said that why are we only getting offence from our defense ? We have no goal scoring forwards that can put the puck in the net. We completely outwork & outplay the other team but come out on the low end of the scoring. We need to address the situation (in the off season), that we need a centreman with experience that has a goal scoring touch. Also, Therrien needs to be benched. I lost count how many times he over-skated and lost possession of the puck. Why is he on the 1st PP unit. They are using him as a defenceman and he is always up near the offence blueline waiting for the puck. Meanwhile the play is in the Battalion end and they've lost a defenceman with him way up the ice. It's so frustrating watching this game after game after game. Why not switch him for Amidovski on the 1st PP if they want this to be their PP, at least he can get back quickly and not stand there and watch what's happening like Therrien is.
Sorry but had to rant.
100% agree. With Therrien it’s gone from annoying to frustrating to downright infuriating as a fan. The kid takes stupid penalties every game, is a defensive mess, and has zero business on the powerplay, the amount of giveaways at the blue line is ridiculous at this point. The recent game where he drew a penalty and then got one himself for mouthing off to the ref wouldve been 3 games scratched for me. He needs to go. The problem with the “Battalion style” of hockey is that it revolves too much around two-way forwards, power forwards and shutdown defencemen. Last year was so successful because Romani, Wakely, Vilmanis and Nelson were not that style. It’s fantastic to build from the goal line out, but we’ve lost every one of our offensive players this year and our rebuild still only consists of 2way and power forwards. Parker Vaughan is an excellent prospect, but there’s a huge difference in style between him and Wassilyn or Di Lorio. We need to draft for offense this year, and bring in older guys with offense for next year if we want to have a chance next season, if we don’t we will likely see much of the same results; out working teams even as good as London but never finishing on chances and losing momentum because of it. McIvor can’t win every game for us.

Probably worth a look…. Could be another Briir Long though, tear up the lower leagues and can’t get it to translate against 19-20 year old defensemen.

We've been pretty hard on the kids for their play, maybe it's time to direct some of the blame to the head coach and forward/pp coach. I don't think anyone on that bench is more dialed in than D coach Houlder so let's start with HC. 18 & 27 DO NOT deserve the ice time they are getting, but they are out there all the time! I feel sorry for all the draft eligible kids that are watching from the bench, knowing that they could perform just as well or better. And maybe show some emotion on the bench. Support your players. Throw some sticks around. I have no idea why the assist coach has a white board and marker, the PP is the same old, same old disaster. Change it up. Try the bumper play, try putting Ride in front of the net, try 200 pounder Moses in front of the net. Forget the sling-shot play, how bout a slapper from the point (did anyone have to tell Ty to shoot the puck??) Give 6 a pair of slippers and sit him in the middle of the bench. Move 21 to the left side for a one-timer.......so many options.....ggaaaahhhhhhhdddd

So many options and a PP2 that looks electric every time they touch the ice but is only given 25 seconds to execute. If we cycled through all these options we’d be scoring a lot more goals….. our powerplay is seriously awful, it’s so predictable we can’t even score 5 on 3

Three bottom feeders????
The Soo, Guelph, Owen Sound are all near the bottom of the standings, the Soo being the best of the 3.
