Wow big signing, won’t debut till after Christmas. If the trade of Romani does involve Parker Vaughn that’s makes for a crazy 08 group of Cali,Carey,Vaughn and Greer who’s proven himself well. Regain some draft capital in the Romani-OVS move. See what you can recoup for BT7 and ZW22 to replenish even more draft capital. Looking ahead to next year for fun. We’d be losing the Leblanc Twins and whatever potential OA fills the OVS Spot. The only returning 05’s would be WK2 and BR25. Both will provide incredible stability on the backend. I don’t see any way they move on from either with the makeup of this team next season.

It’s is worth noting that Cali is only here this season on an affiliate basis and is likely to return to Milton when OJ season resumes on Jan 6th

100% north bay in the next year or two will be back to being very competitive once again.
Their GM is among the best in the league for sure
Back in: 27 Andrew Leblanc. Out: 10 Dylan Richter. 34 Mike Mac has the net, Landon Miller for SSM. Attendance could be 3100 / 3200.
Takeaway from our game vs the Soo:
- The Soo had the book on McIvor, get him off the post and go high
- We need to work on zone entries, badly
- Our power play needs a shooter
- Brady Martin sure chirps a lot for someone who can’t fight (great job Laird)
- We are probably making a lottery selection, so what’s everyone’s take on our future top pick!!!

Put them both up with 21 in the middle get Moses off the back end and put Wellenreiter there, much safer with the puck and better vision. Van Steensel on PP2 would better balance out, Carey needs an older guy with him.
Moses needs to decide what he is. He’s got the size to be a power forward. Don’t see him as a sniper, has a hard shot but poor accuracy and always aims for the same area, very predictable. He has a tendency to always look to shoot over passing, but his release is too slow and it’s very readable for defense and goalies, his stats reflect this. Needs to take a page out of 21’s book and crash the net, screen, tip, etc, use that 200+ lbs and be a force around the net, not a stick handling specialist. More effort needed in the defensive zone, less no look passing and toe dragging at his own blue line. Big potential to be an NHL bottom 6 forward but needs to work on a few things. Lots of time for him to develop
If the Vaughn trade happens, we look great. We’re also looking at a top 4 pick this year potentially….. D and goaltending solid for years to come as well…. Go battle onions go

I’ll very gladly take a year off of playoffs for a top 4 pick. I’d like to think times have changed and reporting to North Bay is no longer a problem (minus this no trade clause hang up that I hope is just an 04 that doesn’t want to leave on Barrie’s side) Get yourself some high end talent you could l dangle as a trade chip come deadline time again.

With all of these things possibly falling into place where north bay would be rebuilding and getting some great young talent. Makes me wonder if they trade procyszyn NEXT YEAR at the deadline for picks or a player and picks and then use those picks the following year to go on a good run.
Also besides obviously Romani and Van Steensel this year, I’m sure someone would like a Wyatt Kennedy defender to play in their bottom 4 somewhere and he’s a big guy and not afraid to chuck ‘em from my understanding? He was great in the playoffs last year vs the fronts. Could return a similar package to Zach sandhu when he got moved to Oshawa. But would be a year younger.

you have a proven coach and a great gm. If prospects don’t want to report then that’s their problem. If I was a young player you would be among my top 5 destinations.

Bronson Ride is the guy that’s most likely to drop the gloves. I’d be shocked to see either of the moved this year. Just a feeling but what do I know sitting on the couch. The entire franchise changed the day they moved on from Stan Butler’s old ways. Recent front office moves should also allow for more change from marketing etc.. Exciting times

I agree I think they’d only get moved if a great offer was put on the table for one of them

Looking at the roster next year these are the guys that should all be in the mix without including potentially 2 new imports (dropping pazii, teshome) and your first 2 picks in the u16 draft, as well as the u18 frp. High potential team for next year.
Probably a middling team and if they do decided to move on from Romani and Van Steensel you can insert Parker Vaughan into the mix. You’ll be all stocked up for picks probably too. Looking good for next year and the year after especially if you get that first overall pick.
Also none of these guys are in order for lines etc as I don’t know your lines but just assuming based off age and production so far these would be the guys in the mix.

Unless he is broken beyond healing, I would fully expect Pazii to be part of the ‘battle-onion’ along with the rest of the (better) ‘06s, Ride & Kennedy right up to the next deadline at least.

Yeah I just figured after him getting injured maybe he would want to go home or if the battalion wanted to start fresh with 2 brand new ones after probably getting high picks this year
If there’s room for Pazii then he’d be an alright bottom 6 option, but new imports might be better…
I think you might see Carter Nadon in the goalie mix next year unless Larocque seriously steps his game up.
Anyone have an update on the ghost of Declan Gallivan? Who is this mysterious right shot D and what kind of player are we looking at???
He has been spotted at afternoon practice wearing non contact red, is #3 and I believe shoots left. That's all I have.
That darn eliteprospects has his handedness wrong I guess. I wonder where he stands between Turley and Wilson
