MacInnis ainec

MacInnis was Lidstromesque in this period but poorer skater (but of course even better shot), he enjoyed great longevity and adapted nicely to his age (and was of course helped by the slowdown in the game during the dead puck era). Very smart player. Overshadowed by Pronger a bit but it was unfair how St. Louis could have one of these guys on the ice for 55 minutes a game or so (usually less since Pronger took dumb penalties lol)

Blake gets chirped a bit too much now after the fact for his season. I hated how the Avs got him and then of course got a cup, he was real good, but yeah, he is a bit lucky Lidstrom cooled down a bit after his hot start and the media attention for the Wings went back to Fedorov's return and Yzerman's resurgence, cause he might not have won in 1997-1998 otherwise.

Lidström got robbed regardless though, Blake would have deserved it more with the Avs.
