Significantly less than Monahan or Marchenko who are also well behind Werenski for overall impact on this seasonThey had solid years and carried their fair share of the load to get to where they are
My point still stands that Werenski isn’t doing the carrying as some would like to believeSignificantly less than Monahan or Marchenko who are also well behind Werenski for overall impact on this season
No, no he doesn’t.Makar deserves Hart votes so slam dunk for Norris.
Jake Sanderson the best all-around defenseman in this league.
I'd wager he'll get a couple higher placed votes from some outlets, but ultimately he'll fall way short of sniffing top 5. Players like Hedman and Morrissey had there typical great seasons, and then you have young surgers like Dahlin and Sanderson who will push for a ton of votes. Even Harley might gain some traction due to his story after Heiskanen was injured.Makar.
I'm curious how high a rookie like Hutson ranks. He's not going to win, and I don't thionk he's going to be a finalist either, but I'm curious if he finishes 4th or 5th, or lower. Phenoemanl season, and super valuable for Montreal (his emergency in ~December helped turned the season around, and helped Habs rise from bottom of conference to playoffs).
I agree with those saying Werenski had a great seasons too, and I expect he finishes #2, but he won't win.
So… Makar wins both? As he had the most points and was the best defensman!Werenski had the most consistent season.
Makar was a pylon for part of the season and Hughes missed too much time.
Norris needs to be split into two trophies, one for best defenceman and one for the most points as a defenceman
