Didn't like him at first but I've gradually grown more and more fond of the guy. He deserves better than Vancouver.

Exactly how I feel about him, actually. Hope he can get somewhere else with a buyout.

Thing is, the Nucks won't buy him out. They're being stubborn. Their GM is just being an #@$ with an ego and demanding too much for the guy. Nobody has given in to his silly demands, so he's stretching out a very awkward situation. Luongo wants out, but is basically trapped. Last word was they were gonna try to move him around the draft. But if they don't lower their asking price, they had better do the right thing and let him go.

I didn't mind Luongo until he went to Vancouver. Feel bad for the guy right now. Wouldn't mind supporting him again once he gets away from that franchise.

What team is actually going to be willing to take on that contract? Florida has Markstrom coming up and I can't see Toronto taking him now that Reimer is showing real signs of promise. Maybe a cap floor team like Phoenix? Don't think Lu would ever accept a trade to a place like that though.

He wouldn't like Quebec? :sarcasm:

I think the only way the Luongo situation resolves itself is if Vancouver bites it and buys him out. The longer he stays there the less motivated he is going to be, and if he sees more games like this one where he gets hung out to dry, and games like last year in the playoffs when he was a scapegoat for the team losing to the Kings, he's just gonna stop bothering at some point and hang the Canucks out to dry intentionally to return the favor.

So I think he ultimately gets bought out. He is a capable goalie who got crushed underneath the weight of one teams gigantic ego. I think a change of scenery would do him a lot of good right now, and I bet he'd be willing to sign with any team for chump change once the Canucks eventually buy him out.

Never really disliked Luongo, he just played on the wrong team. He has an amazing twitter account! It is a shame on how he was handled this year, he deserved to have a chance on another team.

Lou to the Wild.... We can trade them Heater for him

Altho I would not mind picking him up for cheap if he gets bought out this offseason. Somehow I think he would play better in St. Paul as a member of the home team.

We need someone to bridge the gap between Backstrom and Kuemper/Gustaffson. No idea how things with Backs are gonna shape up.

If Lou gets bought out his next contract may be "cheap" in comparison to his current contract but it won't be "cheap".

Lou would probably get his AAV but not the term or the from loaded deal that he got in VAN.

Remember cap is going down.

It doesn't hurt the chances, it means it doesn't happen.

Now the question is whether Hansen wants to sue. The down side to filing suit against the NBA is alienating himself from the owners and hurting his chances to get one of the other financially unstable franchises or an expansion franchise.

I would expect a statement from Hansen soon on what his next step is going to be. His arena deal with the city is in place for the next 8 years and he has purchased the land already needed.

This may be the end of the Kings coming but I don't think it is the end. Part of me hopes he does sue the NBA, I would love nothing more than the NBA having their dirty laundry aired in public.
