OT: Non-Hockey Sports Thread XII - Time for a new QB! (Percy Harvin Edition)

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
A lot of the big guys we got in FA have had injury problems, and are likely to have them again next season. If there isn't a great CB at 24 then I'm fine with taking another lineman.

Not sure what the pick math says, but if we can get our 2nd rounder back from Buffalo by dropping 6 spots, I'd be down. Don't want outright drop into the middle of the 2nd just to get a 3rd rounder though.

Teams with two 2nd rounders:
Chicago with #39 and #41
Seattle with #50 and #52

I wouldn't mind Zabel.

If any of you guys saw lots of Gophers fball this year, how is Aireontae Ersery? Looks like just started playing football junior year of high school, is raw, etc? Hope Darrisaw comes back healthy and doesn't miss a beat but if he isn't ready to go or reinjures, we saw what having Robinson come in did...

I think this is why we brought in Skule. I wouldn't be thrilled with an OT pick in the 1st when there could still be some impact defenders on the board.

I was looking at that Gopher OT more as a later pick but I completely forgot about Skule. Would you go with Nolen or Grant if they are there at 24 or looking CB/S?

Oh, just saw Lewis pulled a hammy in Twins game today. Is it just me or have all the Twins' top prospects/players for the last decade or so been injury prone? Buxton, Lewis, Kiriloff, (hope Lee's back stuff is not an early indicator)? If Jenkins only plays have a year this year, they gotta get a voodoo doctor or something.

"Teams are waiting this out, waiting on Rodgers. The feeling is there's not just a money consideration here. There's fit, there's surroundings, all those things. Minnesota Vikings are sort of on the periphery here. Sources there tell me that it's possible they get involved with Rodgers, but the feeling this week has been probably not. They want to develop J.J. McCarthy."
